Smelly dog breath?

i just found out about Bright Bites - they seem like a good cure for bad doggy breath and also help dogs maintain good oral hygiene. Their website explains that while brushing a dog’s teeth is the best way to maintain dental health, these treats help fight plaque and tartar build-up on a day-to-day basis...anyone used them before???

No, but I have this problem, too, even with feeding high quality food and letting him snack on raw bones (they clean teeth well). His breath isn't nasty, exactly, but it's not anythign I want touching my face. And I know dogs on crap like Pedigree and Science Diet whose owners don't brush or clean their teeth in any way who smell better than him. I'm jealous.

oh no - that is certainly a dilemma. what do you feed? i'm a big fan of TOTW, which helps a lot of dogs with allergies and skin problems, but I haven't heard whether it does anything for a dog's breath.

Yucca supposely gets rid of doggie odors, both orally and the other end

I've never had bad breath unless the dogs ate something rotten or a tooth problem due to old age . One time one dog did stink and I found a stick wedged in bridge of mouth between back molars . Poor boy ! I don't brush , but give raw bones .

Wow - I've never heard of anyone using Yucca, that is different. These Bright Bites things are pretty cool in the fact that they are small star shaped pieces, which is good since I sometimes worry about the bigger bones being tough to digest.
