So I'm having fun with my crock pot and just wanted to know if anyone had some recipes they really liked for it.

So far I've been loving the chicken/pork cooked with salsa. I've also made some really good BBQ & Applesauce Chicken, Beef Stew and then for tonight I have Chicken and Dumplings cooking right now.

So, share please?

I have procedures, not recipes. :)

For beef:

Put a beef chuck roast in the pot, dry. Sprinkle a dry package of ranch dressing on top. Sprinkle a dry package of au jus powder on top. Place one stick of butter on top, and then 5 or 6 pepperoccinis. Cook on low for 8 hours.

For pork:

Put a bone-in shoulder in the crock pot, fat side up. Mix the following in a bowl and pour over the roast: 1 can beef broth, 1 T instant coffee granules, 1 T liquid smoke. After you've poured this on, salt and pepper the fat layer of the roast. Cook on low for as long as you can... I usually cook it for 18 hours.

I will throw a roast, potatoes, carrots in there with an envelope Lipton beefy onion, and a can of Campbells mushroom soup and cook 8 hours.

Crock pots do well with Venison too :)

With chicken or pork I will just dump a bottle of bbq sauce in there for 8 hours. To add a bit of zest, I dump a can of Dr Pepper in as well.

Cube steaks with the onion soup and mushroom soup and a packet of dry brown gravy is good for about 5-6 hours.
