Day 1:

Ready!?

Ugh, you said ready? :(

Well, I got there too early, waited too long, and took out a VERY wound up dog. :yikes: Our JWW was a mess. She hit her weaves nicely but I think she knocked more bars than she cleared and she got frustrated and went into an almost hold and bark on me. LOL

However, after our run I decided to keep her out and let her watch and shake her tug like an angry gator at the running dogs. Then had a friend hold her lead while I walked Standard and again played tug until we ran. I took her in and with the lesser edge our run was *beautiful*. I was nervous about a couple spots but she didn't give me any validation to my concerns. Her contacts were perfection and she ran in :33 when the course time was :60. She had a 100pt Q and took 1st.

I guess she wasn't as impressed as I was. LOL

Sloan and her goofy collie friend debuted together today. He Q'd and took a 100pt 1st in JWW (a very nice clean run) but NQd in Standard with a few contact issues.

On to day 2 (after a good nights sleep!), all said and done, today was a blast. :)

I've found in the past that, in some cases, it does do wonders for the dog to watch the other dogs compete, see the people, hear the noises, and deal with the pumping adrenaline, lol.

Congratulations on the 1st place and 100pt Q! WTG Sloan and Adrianne! :D
