if it's any consolation... my dad had his ear chopped off by a tail pipe (don't ask... long and STUPID story involving brothers lol) and had to have it sewed back on and he still has it and it's getting bigger with his other ear and nose as he ages
honestly... if an ear and vision out of one eye is the worst he comes out of this he's very VERY lucky and blessed.

So glad to hear he's okay. My uncle got into a very bad motorcycle accident once. His condition was similar your father's right now. He pulled through and is now back to is (annoying) self.

Thanks guys! Of course es not out of the woods yet he still has at LEAST another 24 to go until they can give us some more info but it looks good.

he had a few beer earlier that night but he was sober when he left. (his best friend and my old boss told us.) and no he was not wearing a helmet.

Hes getting it from the motorcycle/emt firefighter family LOL.
We went out there adn spent some time with everyone. They are slowly lowering the dose of medicine for the coma. I went in there and tickled his foot and he did flinch his leg a little. He is doing pretty good. Tomorrow is going to be the big day though. THey are going to attempt to take the shunt out and we will know more about lowering the meds.

Well im back for te day. Bev went down there for a little to spend sometime with everyone (she didnt see dad) and she behaved WONDERFULLY the ICU neuro nurses didnt even know she as there till we left LMAO.
His brain pressure numbers keep steady unless there is someone talkin to him or touching him (touching him they lower) he hates to be touchhed and you talk to him and they go higher. We want them higher!!!! He also attempted to squeeze someones hand today!!!

Ok these next 48 hours are going to be the hardest we as a family have had to deal with yet. Today they will try and take him out of the coma and take the shunt out. But it may not happen until tomorrow.These are the most important days so far right now. This is the time when we will fin out just HOW bad off he really is and really what to expect in way of recovery and everything. Please keep everyone in your prayers and thoughts.
