scrapbooking people...need some help...

my daughter wants a 'scrapbooking book' and 'supplies' for
Christmas. I went to Amazon..and I have no clue. can you help me with ideas of what she might want/love to begin scrapbooking? thanks if you can! or direct me to somewhere else online to shop......then tell me what to buy.

I always bought scrapbooking stuff at AC Moore, you might look at their online store.

To start I would get a book, some different kinds of pages, packs of stickers, photo corners (little sticky things that go on the corners and keep them in the scrapbook or the little tabs that go on the back of photos, scissors that cut in different designs, some different colored paper, glue stick... probably some other things I am not thinking of.

Obviously you dont need everything listed but those are some ideas!

you may just want to buy her an album and give her a gift card to pick out the rest--there is so much to choose from, it can be overwhelming. It also depends on how "crafty" she wants to be with it--when I was scrapbooking I loved to add my own art to it. But some people like the 'premade" pages where you just add your pictures.
There is alot out there! Or it may be easiest to buy a "kit" that has the album and starter pages, glue, etc.

There are books that Michaels now has from a company called Close To My Heart that is a stamping/scrapbooking company. They are called things like "Blessed" and "Cherish." They are REALLY awesome idea books that even walk you through layouts. My mom has all of them because she claims she isn't creative enough to come up with stuff herself. I copy layouts all the time for inspiration though I often make a lot of changes, so I find them cool too.

As for albums, I only recommend Creative Memories albums!!

thanks! we have a Michaels within 50 miles, and I may go check it out this weekend. Bax, I do love the gift card idea...wonder if Michaels has them? will see. AC Moore...thanks, will check them out online for sure.
