Since school will be starting soon here (August 18) It's time for me to start school shopping and such, and just general clothes shopping.

Where do you shop for clothes for school? I shopped kind of extensively on Amazon today because I sold all my textbooks from last semester back and had an $86 credit, of which I spent all but $13 and they got underwear and undershirts...that's it. Then again I'm shopping for 3 so that's to be expected.
I think shoes will be the next big purchase, then just basic clothes.

So where are the good buys on clothes and such for back to school? School supplies I know I can get cheap at the PX, but their clothes are usually pretty expensive.

The ones here, all have clearance sections (we pick up cheap stuff for the kids for next year). I'm sure they have them for the bigger kids, we only look in the little kids and baby sections.

Yes, Kohls has great clearance prices. Children's Place has really good clearance sales too, as does Target.

I third Kohls! And Old Navy.......lots of times you get 2 for 1 on jeans and shirts and things like that from Old Navy so it works out pretty good!

I like Shoe Carnival for the kids shoes, they usually have buy one get one 1/2 price and they have all the name brands and types the kids want, makes it easy for me to go to ONLY one shoe store, LOL

Kohl's is GREAT. They have awesome sales. There clothes aren't particularly "high quality" or long lasting or anything, they do tear up quickly and run and stuff, but for growing kids who won't fit in them in 6 mos, they're great because you can buy about 20 pieces of clothing for the price of higher quality items.

I think Wal Mart has really cute baby clothes....I always buy gifts for babies/toddlers at target. Kohl's is even cheaper, though.

and fetus nephew. LOL
OMG I am crying :rofl1:

I am horrible and shop sales racks for everything now. I bought my this winters clothes last year when they went on sale:cool: I might be a year behind in fashion but I saved some money!

If you catch target and old navy at the right time you can get really good sales.

I have never seen even sales at kohls have remotely cheap clothes, even their toys are 20% more than anywhere else. For some reason thats the only place my bf will shop though:eek:

I have never had that problem with clothes from Kohl's.

I like Kohl's and don't have any problem with them tearing up, I have a lot of them hand-me-downs from my nephew still in great condition. Even after the point where he was walking and playing at the park, etc.

I like Kohl's, Old Navy, and Target...basically what everyone else said. I also like JCPenney. I often get $10 off if you spend $10 at JCPenney from them so recently I bought Mason 4 shirts from them for $3.

Outlet Malls, Also if you can wait till Tax Free time if they do that there. You actually save a TON. Also penneys does good sales and its pretty cheap as it is in the kids clothes.

Target is my other love. Sometimes Ross, Marshalls and Bealls but for children who are a pain to fit its usually a waste of time I have found.

Rack Room does the same BOGO 1/2 for shoes. Today in fact I got Jeremy a pair of Vans and me a pair of Adidas flip flops for 40 bucks at rack room and that wasnt with a coupon or anything. Kids are obviously cheaper I know mom used to walk out of there paying like MAYBE 30 for my brother and I to get shoes and they were always name brand.

I don't think we have a tax free time :( That'd be cool though. I can buy clothes tax free at the PX, but they're usually marked up enough that it takes care of the tax I'd have payed off post.

We have Ross, but not a marshall's or bealls. :(

:( Come out here and go shopping August 6-8 we will go to the outlet mall too LOL
Is that the sales tax free time? ^^ I'll still be here!! :p Yay!

Sales tax here annoys me to no end, because in Germany the sales tax is already included in the price and you pay what it says it costs. Its happened to me twice now, that I count together the exact amount and Im missing the salestax. Thats soooooo annoying!!

Really? Every time I have bought clothes for the kids at the PX it turned out that the prices that were on the tags weren't the actual prices. I paid about half of the price. I get clothes there for the kids all the time.

I thought that clothing wasn't taxed anyway.

Granted, the PX has sales where they take 25%-75% off sometimes, but the sales racks are usually pretty picked over.
