Talus (to rhyme with "Dallas") is in a dire situation and I'm in the process of pleading for his life. For Talus to live, he needs a new home which I am not capable of providing, and he needs it now. I desperately need the help of someone in the Colorado area (I'm willing to go a state over in any direction; Wyoming's the closest to where I am) to give him a home and a chance to live.
Talus was a shelter dog, so his exact age is unknown. He's probably around five or six years old. He's a medium-sized dog, I'd guess between 45 and 50 pounds, with short white fur covered in blurred black spots. His ancestry's debatable, but he's likely a dalmation / blue heeler cross. His tail was docked short, but his ears are long. He's in great physical shape, and would be happiest in the company of someone who jogs or runs daily. He gives doggy smiles more than any dog I've ever met. He has spent the last several years in a house with two young boys, under ten years old, and has never shown anything but love for them and his adult owners. He gets along well with cats and other dogs.
Here are the criteria that have to be met in Talus's new home:
1. The home must be outside the city limits of Fort Collins, CO and the Larimer county limits.
2. Talus cannot, under any circumstances, be allowed outside without direct supervision and with the restraint of a leash or tie-out.
3. He cannot be allowed in or near areas in which livestock are kept.
If you think you can meet those conditions in order to save the life of this beautiful, intelligent dog, please PM me as soon as possible so we can discuss it further. Talus has had charges brought against him for which his owners have to go to court and will likely pay through the nose. These charges and the circumstances surrounding them will be disclosed to interested parties.
PLEASE, PLEASE help me save Talus. This is not a dog that should die. Someone please open your heart to this wonderful animal.
