i was asked if theres any difference between the panacur you get at the vets and safeguard which you can get much cheaper off the shelves at most petstores.
after looking into it i personally cannot see any difference...
but im wondering if theres something i dont know...
the active ingredient in both is:
22.2% fenbendazole
both require 3 daily doses.
this is for a tapeworm treatment, the vet wants her to spend $40 per dog to get the dosage of panacur from them to treat her dog, however from the store the safeguard is only $12.99 per dog and she has 3 to treat.
if there is any difference in these products let me know, ive been told fenbendazole works wonderfull for the removal of tape and other worms...
any ideas?
or is ther another brand you prefer?
all three dogs have Taenia tapeworm eggs and segments according to the fecal at the vets
