From what's been said she's already looking for a new dog.

But the dog community is huge and spans hundreds of boards. I think it might not be as easy next time to get one.
We can hope it isn't. BUT unfortunately, putting on a good front sometimes snows people so much that they just think the person is/was picked on.

Only time will tell what happens. I hope more people are aware of the potential outcome for their puppies if they place a dog with her.

Except the difference here is that there are pictures, the breeder is willing to talk to people, there are vet records, and teal said herself the pics were taken the day the dog was picked up.

If a breeder disregards all that they probably aren't a reputable breeder anyway.

From the evidence shown, we all knew the only way it wasn't true is if the breeder was being fraudulent. She has admitted the breeder was not.

Game over.
Honesty comes out eventually, and there we have it.

I'm unsettled by the lack of remorse or guilt shown by the response, but the statement proves what we've all been back and forth about for pages and pages.

How sad.
This.

Honestly, the way she phrased it, she has removed herself from the situation at all. In her mind, it's not "something she did", it's "something that happened". She's removed herself far enough that that's the only explanation we can expect to receive.

I'd like to see it posted on the other forum that you and Kady frequent since Jairi frequents there a lot.
I'm honestly pretty surprised that hasn't happened yet. And yes it should happen, though goodness knows with the popularity contests the troops will rally to justify her actions despite the concrete evidence of what she did. It is what it is with forums I guess.

I'm banned there, otherwise I would post it.

I'm glad this Fila pup is safe and in a good home. But I fear for future dogs of hers. I highly doubt that anything will change because I strongly suspect a personality disorder of some kind. The prognosis for those is generally very poor. I see some features of Cluster B personality disorders....the obvious lack of empathy, the denial or refusal to own up to the responsibility that was hers, the dissaociation when the phraseology of the post is what she focuses on, not the heart of the matter, not the evidence. That's all disregarded. Unless everyone who has puppies to give or sell knows about this and cares, she will get another puppy. And it's a risk that the same thing will happen if something isn't 'just so' with that puppy. I would hope that relatives or friends would make sure any future puppies are cared for properly.

I think you hit it on the head. Her post is weird and sounds insanely disconnected.

I can't help but feel that a dog has so many chances to bond before they just don't try anymore. First start out the gate, if wishes were horses would be the only one, straight from Mama to a new home that will cherish them until they day they cross the bridge. When they are returned for not being quite right, or a good fit, or for any reason other than a health reason that would be on the breeder for letting them go in the first place, that first chance is robbed from them. Not saying that a dog won't bond again, or even again after that, but I have met too many 3 and four time "losers" not saying the dog is the loser, but the people they came across sure were thinking that a puppy or dog would fit like a puzzle piece and they don't right off the bat. OR the can't handle the now seperation anxieties that have been created by succeeding losses. Making the dog all the harder to place. Each time, less trust, each time, less chance of having that miracle to me of partnership. THEy end up being their own dog, and most people are not looking for that, they are looking for just about the opposite. I wish i had a magic wand to put over all the babies that they have the best luck ever and are received with adoring, patient, and common sense arms. I could like people a whole lot more if that was the case. This puppy has been cheated of round one. I pray with all my heart that round two, will be the opposite.

Yes. Tons. I have had phone calls to my vets and trainers, asking them about my dogs.

I have not forwarded the letter I drafted to anyone cause I just haven't taken the time to do it and kind of forgot about it. I will email those who asked.
