I'm having a bit of trouble :( I can't get Windows movie maker to work! :( I don't know any other free movie maker thing to make this with either, any suggestions?

I've tried deleting the program and redownloading it, but it still gives me the same error. I read the error and I did what it said, but it still doesn't work :(

Hmm... sounds kind of like my an Photoshop. I guess it just doesnt like you :S

Maybe there's some other Windows program preventing it from working correctly.

It said the error was that it needed to be updated so I followed it's link, uploaded the update, and it still didn't work.

hehe, nope, click the little thing that says "click here" when it asks if you want to see what data the error report contains, and show that :)

That's the standard error for every Windows thing. Have you installed anything recently? Might be a registry value that's been changed, or a missing file, corrupted file, changed file, etc.

I haven't installed anything recently really. I erased the old windows movie maker completely and tried reinstalling, but that's it.

Ack, I give up, do you two know of any other moviemaker then? I'm tired of windows Movie Maker anyways, it's always freezing

Don't know of any free ones, no. Movie maker's the only program I've ever needed. It's pretty good IMO.

Well, if you want to get serious, you can't really do better than Adobe Premiere. Premiere is to video editing what Photoshop is to photo editing, and it's priced similarly. However, you can get Adobe Premiere Elements for something like $70-100

Edited to say, if you can post the contents of the error, it would give me much more to work with, and I might be able to actually help you fix movie maker.
