rainy day at the house

My American Bulldog and I are stuck in the house today because it is raining. He is very upset at the fact that we can't go outside and play and he has been moping around the house all morning. He wants to go outside and I let him go out, he just turns around and looks at me like "aren't you coming too?" I feel really bad, but I'm not going out there. So, what do you do with a 100 lb. dog inside on a rainy day?

Train! Teach a parlor trick or two. Teach paw targeting. Shape a behaviour you've wanted your dog to know for awhile. Rainy days = training days!

Alternately, get a rain poncho and rubber boots. Dogs love mud. <3
