No, I won't make it unfortunately. I'm not even sure if I'm going to make it mid June as planned. But, have a wonderful time and best of luck to you. I hope you take lots of pictures this time. Try not to have dark backgrounds. LOL. I wanna see that handsome Doberpup in all his glory.

We'll be there tomorrow. I don't know what time, but I want to see the Aussie conformation which I understand is in ring 4 at 11:00.

Puyallup isn't too far from me! I'd love to go! I don't really have any plans for tomorrow so I should be able to go, I just have to find out where and how much (if it costs?).

I did a search, found where it's at! Don't know about cost? I'll just bring some money and if it's free (which it probably is, but ya never know.....or at least I don't lol) I can have money to buy something from a vendor! lol

I missed the ones I wanted to see, the Malamutes, sibes, dobermans, and all those. :( I got there around 11 am, stayed till about 1:40 or so. I did see the Australian shepherds, Newfoundlands, Irish wolfhounds, St. Bernards, and a few of the other ones though!! I got to meet a few too :p There was a Pyrenees that was gorgeous and HUGE at only 1 yr old! lol The lady with the Pyrenees was watching her mother with her Aussie. :) She was from Seattle ......DOGGYDAZE??? any chance?

I got to meet a malamute too!! I must say, after seeing a malamute the size it's suppose to be and seeing a few husky's the sizes they are meant to be, there's no doubt in my mind Lucas is a Malamute! Had a few doubts, people thinking he's husky, but he is DEFINITELY a Malamute! lol

Sorry I missed you Otch! :(

Hi! I'm back from the show. Didn't see you babyblue or doggydaze. My dog went in at 8 am though. He was having an "off' day. Sore on left front, didn't place. We'll try again tommorrow!! Hope to see one of you there.

We went, we watched, we shopped, we're home!

Watched the Aussie conformation and saw some beautiful dogs. We missed all of the obedience stuff, I was looking forward to Rally obedience. Oh well, another time. Watched some agility. I'm sure some of it was Novice, don't know what I was watching the rest of the time but it was fun. I have a new respect for Corgis. They are very game little dogs.

This whole dog competition stuff has me stumped for the most part. I rarely know what the heck I'm watching. Take conformation, I saw the same handlers showing the same dog multiple times. I'm sure there were different classes of competition but I never knew if they were by age, gender, color, experienceor run offs (show offs??)???

Is this a trick to keep people coming back?

On the plus side, I met CeCe's Dam (Dame???) and Sire. I watched her Dam win something in confirmation, but I don't know what it was. Her sire's owner told me she took a first in one of the agility trials, but we missed it.

Oddly, CeCe came unglued when we met her mom, in a good way. We met many dogs today, but her mom is the only one she really reacted to. She wanted to play with mom. I don't know when the last time was they were together, but she sure seemed to remember her. Go figure.

I don't recommend the steak panine (sp?).

Sorry I missed Babyblue and Otch.

Hi BB... did you go and watch dobies today? Dobs were in at 8:30 am, still showing 2 hrs later. Kohl was feeling a little better today. Took 2nd place in his group, his brother 1st place and winners dog, his sister 1st pl and a reserve. Good day for the Dobie kids. Were you there too doggydaze? Also, did you get my post about last Tues. class? That is such a funny coincidence if that was you! Hope you enjoyed the show BB and hope Lucas got a nice present from the retail section..

Nope, not today. Got some chores to do around the homestead. I didn't get a post about last Tuesday's class either. Were you in the Conformation class with us? I'm the old spaz who can't keep his dog from sitting for the judge. :(

Instructor: "You've been in obedience huh?"
Me: "Huh, yeah (is that a bad thing?)"

At any rate we wanted to get some tips to attempt finishing CeCe's "Altered" title. From what we've seen, ASCA conformation is much more casual than AKC.

Yup!! I got there around 9:10. I wasn't sure who was who though, otherwise I would've said hi! lol :p I did see some of it! I didn't see all of it, I did leave the dobies for a little while to check out a few of the others today :) But the dobies where beautiful!!! Congrats!!! To you, Kohl, and all!!! Glad he did better today! :D

I think someone asked this, but what's up with the multiple ring times. I mean they have a group, and they finish and then another group of the same dog is brought in the ring. They do their thing and finish and another group of the same breed is again brought in. Are those seperate classes or something??

I also saw a lady with a Newfoundland that I did NOT like! She kept grabbing the dogs ears and lifting him by the ears until the dog would cry, and yell at the dog! Arg...that made me mad. She did it multiple times, in and out of the ring. I don't know if you saw them?

Oh......Lucas got a bed (see this post: http://www.chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55252 ), they gave me raffle tickets, but I didn't win :/ lol oh well. It's a nice bed! He also got a squeaky cameleon toy that he likes and a new leash :)

Oh, last tuesdays class? No I can't say I've seen that. Is it a post in dog training or firehydrant???

Hi! Made a post on this thread for doggydaze.. (was that you I saw in class at Pawsabilities"?) If so small world!! Sorry I missed you BB. It was hectic. When you see the same dogs going in and out of the ring it's because there are different classes and the winners of these classes go back in to compete against each other. Puppy: 6-9 mo puppies (boys) 9-12 mo boys, Novice, American bred, Bred by exhibitor, Open class boys. There's a winner from each of these classes, Winners Dog and a Reserve winner. (A runner up) Then they go thru all of the girls and pick a winner, Winners bitch and a Reserve winner. Then these winners go in again compete for Best of Winners. That would be the best of all of the classes, male/dog or female, who've entered, then a Best of Opposite is chosen, all competing for Best of Breed. That will be the one dog chosen from all of the classes to go compete against all of the other working breeds in "Group". Hope that made sense!? Lol.
