Well, it's really good to smell such, but it's not good to prolong that thing..The breath of those pets are not good for us human beings..That ight create a complication to our health..

Louie's breath was kinda bad when I first got him at 8 weeks, but then it cleared up and I didn't mind it at all, even when he started teething a month ago. Then, at about 5 months old, two weeks ago, it started smelling *really* bad, just plain nasty! Seriously, it's so awful! How long is this going to last, and what can I do? He always wants to lick my face and my hands and everything he licks smells nasty afterwards. I used to love to let him give kisses but now I have to kinda grin and bear it. I feel so bad!

I'm told they get bad breath while teething, and he's definitely getting a lot of teeth coming in. I hope it's not something else! He's on kibble, and I brush his teeth every day now.

Some dogs get bad breath while teething, others don't. Ours did--it smelled horrible.

We added baking soda to his water, gave him ice cubes to chew on, and brushed his teeth (gently) often. (Virbac Vanilla Mint)

We have four little Boston Terrier mix puppies that we are fostering. They're about 5 or 6 weeks old. I can't resist the smell of their beath now that it's cleared up. Their breath smelled like poop at first. Grrrrr...people can be so cruel. Thankfully it didn't take long for them to realize that the food I give them tastes much better.
Here they are...

I love puppy breath, but not poopy breath! I have heard about bad teeth giving them bad breath or tummy problems but the teething is a new one for me.

Louie lost a molar last night (I found him staring at it! :D) and ever since his breath has smelled tons better. Maybe it was loose back there and stuff was festering underneath or something?

I absolutely adore puppy breath. I remember when lola was a pup I'd just let her lay on my chest and I'd just go crazy smelling her puppy breath. My family thinks I'm gross... they say is smells horrible.

I think it may be an acquired taste. My puppies breath isn't that bad. Its the snuffling at my ears that really makes me shiver.
