Who here went? Was is a big deal? Was it better than you expected?
Or did you not go and regret it?

I'm just sitting here bummed that there's no prom at my school and I won't go to senior prom next year, lol.

I am glad I went. But it was not some huge thing that I think about all the time. And I am someone that loved high school so thats odd lol! Our after prom party out at someones farm was funner. I tried to take my hair down and it stayed in the same position it had been hair sprayed into and I couldn't go near the fire. Ahhh memories. But we were farm kids.

I would have regretted not going.

Meh. It was fun to get dressed up and see all my friends/classmates all dressed up too. To talk for months about what dress you want, what dress you bought, accessories, etc. But really, the actual prom itself? It was just ok. Basically just about like every other school dance.

Never went, never regretted it. I was able to graduate early, and my school didn't like that..so they wouldn't let us go to prom or the senior trip. Actually they pulled out all the stops they could to keep me from graduating early.

I'm not that type of person anyway, and I had friends out of school...I think I went out drinking on the lake the night of prom, had way more fun :).

I went to 5. 2 Juniors and 3 Senior proms. They were all pretty much the same formula. Dressed up, pictures, food, loud music, after party, home.

I went. In retrospect, I wish I had gone with just friends instead of with my boyfriend-at-the-time. We had a messy, ugly breakup early into college and it's tainted all my prom memories.

It was as fun as any high school dance was.

I went with a senior as a sophomore, and after that I didn't really feel compelled to go again. Still have my dress from it cause that stupid thing was like $150! Good formal dress to wear other places. Wore it to a couple Christmas parties lol.

Didn't go, don't regret it for a second. There was absolutely nothing about the idea of prom that appealed to me, though.

I went to three. I'm glad I went. I don't think I'd be missing out if I hadn't but it might have left me wanting.

I didn't go. The only thing I regret is that the guy I was involved with at the time told me he would have taken me (I didn't ask him because I didn't think he would) and I just kinda wish we had gone. that relationship is long dead and it seems stupid to even think this, but truthfully that is all I regret. Not the prom itself.

eta: ugh I'm mortified I even admitted this out loud.

I never went; I wasn't in school at the time. Part of me is glad I didn't have to go through all the drama or being nervous about getting a date. The other part regrets I didn't have that "teen girl experience" and excitement, even it sucked, lol.

I went my junior year but not my senior. It was okay, nothing spectacular though. I don't really think I'd feel like I was missing anything if I hadn't gone at all (but I'm antisocial and hated dances anyway).

I went and had a great time. I wasn't really thaaaat excited about it, but ended up having a lot of fun. My date (ex-boyfriend) was an idiot, and once I separated from him and hung out with my friends, had a great time. :)

I never went to my prom. Not really my scene and didn't want to hang around with my entire grade and teachers I hated. I did go to our big afterprom though and had an amazing weekend away with my friends! Those are the "end of high school" memories I love - I don't regret not going to prom at all.

I went to both senior and junior prom. Won prom queen my senior year :)

It wasn't the best night of my life by an means, but I would've regretted not going. Part of the high school experience and all..and I like having the pictures and stuff. Dress shopping was fun too lol
