I swear lately she cant 'win for losing'. I was in the parlor talking to micki when I heard a crash from the dinning room. then the kitchen-. Running to see the noise source I see femka- with a blanket attached to her leg dragging it behind her, trying to walk like someone on ice, and threads wrapped around her dew claws. By the time Femka got to the hallway she was in sheer panic " this thing has trying to grab me" and pulling on her dew claw. As I tried to stop her at the same time I knew I needed scissors to cut the threads to get the pressure off her dew claw. Femka has weird quicks=- years of not proper foot care with the quick close to the surface I knew it would crack and fast. I hate to admit this, but since I was alone in the house- scissors in the other side of the room, tried to use my teeth to cut the threads that were wrapped on her dewclaw. Now this is what is left. I hate to say this, but we are going to have to be the bad guys and cut the nail back to wear the thread is stuck. Otherwise she could have it cut into nail making an infection. I tried to get the thread out- but noooooooo way.. Its stuck..

Man I hope not. when hubby gets home we are going to cut it at the break .. I am sure its past the quick but better than making an infection by slow cutting thread or her trying to get it off her.. ( mutters stupid darn ***** blanket... ) poor baby..
