I need help, please.

The other day, my dog ate my razors.

I'm always in such a rush to get out of my house to get to work on time. I left my razor on the bathtub and my dog somehow got ahold of it while I was gone and chewed it up.

When I got home, my razor was all chewed up -- even the blades were chewed up.

Now my dog hasn't been the same. She doesn't want to do anything, she is not as playful and she barely eats anything. I have no money to take her to the vet.

Is there ANYTHING I can do? She is a Chihuahua.
 
She Needs To Be Taken To The Vet Asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Is there a vet clinic around that may let you work to pay off the bill? Or a community vet where they charge very little to nothing? Im sure if you searched online you might be able to find something.

Are you sure she ate any of the razors? And have you looked in her mouth to see if she was cut? Maybe see if there are any cuts in her throat also.

I would definatly though try and find some sort of vet care.
 
I would've taken her to the vet long ago but I simply cannot afford to do so.

Not only that, but there isn't a vet in town (I live in a small country town).

You need to find her some sort of care though.

I do understand that but if I can't afford to take my dog to the vet and there isn't one in town anyway, what am I to do?

I would seriousely search vets out of your town. There are vet offices who will charge you little to nothing or let you work off the bill if you explain the situation. It may be a longer drive but its definatly something you shouldn't pass up.

Im sorry your in this situation im sure your stressed and worried as it is.
 
If you live in a small country town, there will be farm vets around, and lucky you they are cheaper. You need to get the dog to a vet if it ate razors. If you don't, and there truly are razors in that dogs stomach you are going to be witness to something awful.
 
I think she may have eaten tiny, tiny, pieces.

I was thinking when she poops, it would come out. Though I could be wrong.
 
you have 2 choices:

1) Go to the vet and watch her get better

2) don't go and see her possibly die a painful death.

Your choice..

Sorry to be harsh, but there is nothing else you can do.
 
I undertsand that you dont have any money at the moment...for your dogs best interest couldnt you work out a payment plan with any vet.....you can also use a credit card and pay off the debt later...as slowly as you want to./..if you love your dog and want to keep her alive take her to the vet and deal with the finances..later...im sure that you could reach a vet by driving even for 2 hours if u really love your doggy and right now you need too..

It will come out AFTER it tears up her digestive tract. There has to be some form of animal care in your area.
 
You said " a few days ago " ..... why didn't you post then ??? I would have said to feed bread until you could race to a vet.
 
I hate to admit it, but she has done this before. It's my own fault, I know. I'm always in a rush to get to work and I leave my razors on the tub, and when I leave to go to work, she goes into the bathroom and gets it off the tub and eats it up. When I get home, there is a razor..all chewed up.


I just hope she pulls through this (like she did the last time) because there is no way I could afford a vet. I'm already living paycheck to paycheck as it is..

And no, there is not a vet in town. I live in a small town. Population is about 3,000
 
Goodness, for the sake of repitition.. take her to vet pronto! Find a way to come up with money....
 
If you can't afford to keep a dog, you really should consider if it is in HER best interests to keep her.

What if she is hit by a car? What would you do? Or if she gets an infection? What about her general health?

You need to set money aside EACH month strictly for dog care.
 
Give the dog cotton balls soaked in milk or whatever you have available... It should grab most of the small pieces. However, it may be to late for that. You have no idea what damage has been done to her insides.

Even if you would have given her the cotton balls soaked in milk in the beginning, you would still have needed to take the dog to the vet.

Can you imagine how you would feel it you had swallowed razor blades? I suggest getting the dog to a vet asap.

You are right, that is the reason I was considering giving her up to someone who can take care of her. I simply cannot. Of all the pets I've owned, nothing like this has ever happened and it certainly wasn't expected.

I figured that; when she chewed on the razor, and it hurt, why would she continue to do it? And it wasn't just one razor, it was maybe 2 or more (I lost count).

I've got a lot to learn about animals, I suppose.
 
You need to take action NOW.

It is ok saying you have a lot to learn - but should your dog be your guinea pig?

She is suffering as we type... Imagine what pain she must be in - razor blades in your guts!!

YOU are the one causing unnecessary suffering to her. It is cruel.

Can you imagine the consequences if you left a CHILD in that state??

TAKE HER TO A VET - OR GIVE HER TO SOMEONE WHO CAN.
