lol this thread made me feel so not-outdoorsy. I know Miami has some great walking trails and stuff..

but..nature... is so... naturey.. lol
The places i posted about... I basically grew up there lol. I spent many years at summer camp out there and lived there for a bit counselling at said summer camp. So that's the only real nature i like. Lots of climbing and creeks to wade in and fresh pine mountain air. Yummy!

Hocking Hills is breathtaking in the winter time :D and a really inexpensive vacation spot in the winter, too :p If you don't count gas $$

I like Cameron Lake looks nice and peaceful. Well, I would like to bring my dogs there too but for now we are contented to take him a walk around the village. We always go to the nearest park for 1 hour and he likes to mingle with other dogs.

Sam loves Cannon Beach, Oregon. Most of the stores there are dog friendly so he can go in them (plus most of them have treats!) and of course, his favorite part is the beach. He gets so excited he spins in circles when we go to the beach.

Locally, we live a five minute walk from the dog park so we go there a lot, and there's some hiking trails that are great for off-leash stuff since barely anyone goes there. Then we usually walk back to the baseball fields and the playground, and there's a mini-waterpark where dogs are allowed as well, but they have to be on-leash. That's all withint 20 minutes from my house so we go to these places a lot.

This summer he's going camping with us at Blue Lake, Lake Chelan, and Yellowstone National Park. SO I'm sure we'll find new places then!

Locally I enjoy popping in to one of two independent pet supply stores, taking Kes or Z rollerblading on the Muddy Creek Greenway, walking around downtown Winston-Salem, and dropping by the local dog park at off hours.

Further away (35-60 min drive), we enjoy Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks, visiting a friend's farm for off lead hiking, training at Kernersville's Fourth of July Park, and the Piedmont Environmental Center and Watershed trails in Greensboro.

I so enjoy seeing all the pretty places you guys have posted. My goodness! Some extraordinarily beautiful areas.

Hiking in the mountainous trails or logging roads near my house.

The golf course 1/2 mile from my house in off times. This is an old picture...Bonnie swimming in the pond in a wet land area. She never bothered the ducks, just swam...any water....first chance she'd get.

Love walking by the lake here. It's just a couple miles away from my house. There are beaches that are nice to walk along and even a woodsy trail along side the beach for summer. This is a little travelled road where the snow is plowed so you can walk in winter.

Alki Beach, right out in front of where my daughter lives in Seattle: I really need to get some more recent pictures. This is majorly old. But it is a fun place to walk with the Chi's also.

I really need to get some current pictures. Having technical difficulties, the rectifying of which I keep putting off.

Okay - some places I enjoy taking Harleigh (or plan on taking).

Of course, the dog park. lol 14 acres of awesomeness.

Falling Creek Falls

Charles Springs

Big Shoals State Park

And a few other places... now here are couple (of many) that we're planning on going to.

Rainbow Springs State Park

The beach. I know... I'm such a bad mother. I live in Florida and Harleigh has yet to go to the beach.

And as already mentioned Yellowstone and a trip to North Carolina. They are a couple of my favorite places (been to Yellowstone 6 times!), so I wanna go with Harleigh :D

Scarlett and I have a lot of places we love to hit up. We live in the city but there are several ravines that go through the city that we take advantage of. One of the ravines has a Farmers' Market at one end on Saturday mornings that we have gone to once or twice. There's also a fabulous park called High Park that we go to with friends every Saturday morning.

Outside of the city, about 2.5hrs away, my boyfriend's family has a big barn up in cottage country. The barn is on a huge plot of land that has a pond with a small stream feeding it, as well as a huge apple orchard. We love taking Scarlett there as a treat every now and again. We pack a huge picnic and go, and sometimes she gets to bring her BFF, a boxer named Leo. It's a fun time no matter the time of year.

For our regular walks, we live right beside a neighbourhood full of millionaires and there are tons of huge old houses that we will never ever be able to afford. So we walk around there and live vicariously through everyone. Makes for a really nice walk!! In the summertime when the trees are in full bloom, there is a huge canopy over the streets and it's just beautiful.

And I can't forget the beach! We are big fans of the beach.
