I saw him pre-Hank. There was a whole litter of them, actually! But they all sounded rather shy/timid. Gorgeous though.

If I could have a Doberman right now.... it'd be this one:

His owners are moving to the Yukon to finish their PHDs and have been searching for almost a year for pet-friendly housing that they can afford.
They've trained him incredibly well, knows a ton of tricks, has dabbled in agility, and is working on tracking right now.

I just feel so bad for him

Not petfinder, but a rescue I've been stalking every week for about 6 years...

He just sounds and looks so perfect. D: Sobs.

This boy also looks and sounds perfect. http://www.sheprescue.org/Nash von Nolan.html

... also this girl. This girl too. http://www.sheprescue.org/Athena von Alsfeld.html

Um. Can I add one more. This girl, and her health issue sounds perfectly manageable to me. http://www.sheprescue.org/Sheena von Speyer.html

What a ding dang cutie. lskdjflkdfasd

Ahh, I love that rescue and now you have me looking at it too LOL That's just cruel. Panther seriously sounds perfect and I was looking at Nash, too. He sounds soo lovely!!

Nash is also quite self-assured around other dogs. And although he can sometimes come off as tough and serious, when he has your attention, Nash turns into one happy and playful boy. As soon as you give him scratches around the shoulder and up behind the ear, his face doesn't stop smiling and his tail never stops wagging. He also loves to play with his people, especially around water.
And there really isn't any info on this boy, but looooove: http://www.sheprescue.org/Boyzee von Bernal.html

And this dog. Oh my heart <3 http://www.sheprescue.org/Brutus von Bohlen.html

Sweet Brutus is a stunner with a kind and gentle soul. He's a large boy with a huge heart. He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and is currently in a foster home with several dogs and a little boy with whom he is always willing to cuddle. Brutus enjoys long walks and the occasional squirrel chase. He's housebroken and well-mannered. Such a good boy.

Oh NOOOO Brutus sounds so sweet too!! Gosh dangit. Guash dingit. ;_;
Yes, keep stalking, keep looking, keep crying like me hohoho. It's a super active rescue- dogs are always getting adopted and new dogs coming in. It seems pretty great. Their potential owner filtering process seems much more lenient than a lot of other GSD rescues out there, but I think this level is perfect. Sometimes rescues can get overly protective of their dogs/strict with finding a PERFECT forever home.

Haha yeah, whenever I look at rescues it's always the older adults that draw me in. He seems like an incredibly lovely dog and gentle soul!! Bah, and I was doing so good at not being tempted by rescues/Petfinder. I really can't wait for you to finally adopt your GSD in a few years!! You've been waiting for so loonnnngg.

I'm not familiar with their adoption process, but I definitely believe most rescues out there are way too strict, so that sounds fair to me :p

Same! Puppies are adorable, but I actually really look forward to adopting a dog with a temperament that's already settled, his likes, dislikes, and any issues known, and all that jazz.
I'll scream on chaz when that happens (hopefully the site is still here then, fff). D: I can't believe that by the time I actually adopt my GSD, I literally waited a full decade. LOL.

I'M ON THE EDGE OF MY CHAIR/BED/BUTT FOR YOUR MAL TO ARRIVE THOUGH and to see her growth and training or anything else you guys do! I CAN'T WAIT. You're livin the dream dream.

Yes, exactly. I adore puppies, and can't wait for the day I get another (many many years into the future), but there's something very settling and nice about an adult, plus you still get to have a ton of fun learning about and working with the dog.

My sister is planning on adopting a Greyhound or whatever tugs at her heartstrings at the humane society in ~3 years, and she's so excited to just be able to look at a rescue page or walk into a shelter and meet all the dogs she could adopt. Also ftr we have members here who've been around since 2003 or 2004, so hopefully Chaz will be around for at least another 10 years LOL

I'm super excited too!! But umm forget growth though, I just hope I don't screw up the training she's already had!! Either way, I'm so so stoked.
