Hi, all. Recently, I went to weekends only at my regular job to help a friend of mine with his pet store. We already carry California Natural, Innova, and Evo. We also carry Nutro stuff and Chicken Soup foods. We're looking for another food to carry and need some suggestions. I thought Canidae, but there are already a couple retailers around that carry it......supposedly. This food will be replacing the Chicken Soup foods we carry. I would rather see the Nutro go before the Chicken Soup, but it flys off the shelves, and we have to eat as well. I'm leaning strongly towards TOTW, but what would you guys and gals suggest?

I agree that TOTW good choice. Its still pretty new, but I know a lot of people are really liking it, especially with the grain-free fad that is going on with pet food. It also has great designs on the bag and a great list of ingredients.

Orijen is still my favorite of the foods I've used. I'm trying TOTW right now, but haven't been feeding it long enough to know how well I like it.

I work at a animal food store so here are my suggestions.

Nature's Variety both raw and dry*
Wellness (especially Core)
Nature's Logic (dry and maybe their raw)
Solid Gold*
Merrick (dry and canned)
Evengers (canned)
Ziwi Peak
Artemis
Werurva
TimberWolf Organics*
Orijen*
O&M
Pinnacle
Taste of the Wild

The ones with the star we sell the most, but the others are still bought pretty frequently. Nature's Variety raw is a big seller.

But really, the best thing we do is being able to go out and get/order food from our distributor if someone asks for it. Because no matter what we have at the time they will want something else, a different size, flavor or even a brand that we don't have at that time.

Also have a good number of different raw foods like Bravo, Paw naturaw, Nature's Logic, Nature's Variety and try to get people to at least try those. We've gotten a lot of people to come back because of that.

Hope this helped a bit, it's always an adventure starting an independent store, but if you need some help I might be able to give some pointers even though I'm just an employee.
