Pet communicators - can they really read pets' minds?

They had a segement on a local show about one that a vet even refers to. Unfortunately, they don't have the story on their web site. I don't remember her name so am not sure if she is in that list.

I'm not sure what I think about the $100 an hour fees, but I do think we can communicate in ways we can't understand with our pets.

Sure, they work. So do psychics. I have some beach front property in Nebraska for sale, you interested? :)

Can't say that I believe that stuff, but one of our cats got out a few years ago and was lost for six weeks. We must have put out nearly 500 flyers and had people calling to say they'd seen her but we were always a day or two behind (she was nearly two miles away). A friend called one of those communicators/psychics who said the cat was on her way home - two days later she showed up in the backyard. Weird...

The ones I like are the psychic investigators that help solve crimes.

I have no idea if these things actually work, but if it helps catch a killer or recover a body, then I don't see that you're losing anything. I'd definitely want to try any option available.

As for animal communicators... that one that had a show on animal planet before always struck me as very hokey.

I have heard stories like this too. There are some people that swear by them... but IMO I'd want to hear from ALL people who have done it, or at least a balanced survey - I wonder how many people have had an animal communicator tell them their pet is coming home, but the pet never returns. We don't hear about those stories - we only hear one type of experience.

Sorry, I can only relate what happened to me... and I thought it was just a little spooky.

There was one I knew who was eerily correct, and I do believe he was the real thing. Sad to say he died years ago. I think most of them are fakes.

I think a lot of them are fakes, but I did have a friend that claimed to be able to communicate with animals. It took her a while before she felt comfortable enough to tell me because she thought I would think she was weird. When she first met my dog Cheyanne (RIP Chey) she told me so many things about Chey that no one else, but me knew. It was really strange, but after that experience I didn't doubt her. I honestly think that some individuals can which is one of the reasons why I'm so fascinated about how our brains work. Personally... I think the ones that are running around saying pay me money and I'll tell you what your dog says are probably more or less fake... I think that people that honestly can are more likely to be quiet about it.

I think we are all pet communicators to different degrees. Who here "knows" when their pet is not feeling well or has a need? Who here has ever stopped what they were doing to do something for their pet without giving it a conscious thought? Have you ever woke up in the middle of the night because you knew your pet was in need? I think we all have intuition. Some are more in tune than others, but we all have the ability.

I did have the opportunity to use an animal communicator a couple of years ago when my lab went missing. I spoke to 3 before I found the one that was right for me. She refused to let me explain to her the nature of my call. All she asked was for my pets name and description. She literally walked me off my front porch and down the road past my neighbors homes with descriptions that I couldn't even make and I've lived here all my life. I took notes and compared them to the actual terrain and she was completely accurate. She lives several states away and Google Maps doesn't get close enough here to be able to cheat from a Satellite view. She had no local contacts and no way to know what she was describing to me. She did not even let me speak to confirm or deny her reading until she was completely finished because she did not want to be biased by me. He was right where she told me he was.

I have used her many times since then and it was she that explained to me that I am already communicating with my own animals on a regular basis.

Communication takes place in various forms...it might be a thought that seems to come from nowhere or an image that comes to mind or it can be simply a feeling or a hunch. You have to let your mind be open and clear of preconcieved notions to be able to recieve. She told me to turn off my transmitter and my receiver would kick in and she was right.

I challenge everyone here to take note of their relationships with their pets and notice just how well they have us trained...that is communication! I'll bet you even do it with people...you feel their energy or you receive a thought to call your best friend only to find out that they were thinking of you. Once I started paying attention, it was pretty uncanny...try it over the weekend and let me know what you think.

I definately agree !!! I swear I read Ollie's mind and he , mine ! Sure I know when he comes to me at 6:10 to remind me it's 5 mins. until supper ( I'm usually on Chaz ) .... I check the clock and say " Soon " and he lays down to wait . After he's finished eating he always comes back to me and licks his lips and smiles at me ... I say " you're welcomed sweetie ....glad you enjoyed " . Right now he's looking at me "" Mom, you're talking about me ! " When I'm keeping Hunter and Elin calls to check .... Hunter always comes to the phone with his little squeals ... he knows it's his Mommy !
