I could not believe it when I saw it. I could not do it again if I wanted to.

Last shot of the set and it sounded weird. Figured it brushed the arrow and I might find broken fletching. Nope. LOL!


Maybe I should have played the lottery today? I have no idea what the odds are of doing this at 20 yards, but it has to be off the charts difficult!

One day last year I was hanging out at the local indoor range, and the bow technician was setting up a bow for his wife. Now...he draws 29", she draws 26. He's right handed, she's left. So he's shooting the wrong hand, on a shorter draw length. This is on a 20 yard range too. After about 6-8 rounds he quit, as he had robin hooded same as you, and had also smashed two nocks.

Of course it doesn't hurt that he's one of Canada's top shooters, and likely quite high in the world. (He just took silver at the worlds 3D championships in Austria this summer actually.)

Puck...congrats though, it certainly is an impressive feeling. (That is until one realizes how much it just cost in arrows!! LOL!!!)

Yes, I agree. Its pretty cool to do... Once. :lol-sign: At full draw with a 'combat' arrow (broadhead point installed) i'm slinging about $50 down range. These were just field points, so that was a c. $60 shot. Cool... ONCE.

It also does confirm that since I refletched a few arrows with the right helical, its just more accurate. I draw 29" @ 68 lbs. There is a new single pin sight and a drop away rest on my bow. But refletching my arrows made, by far, the biggest difference. I'm shooting consistent 3-4 inch groups at 35 yards, which is just about as far as I will let myself shoot at a deer from a treestand. So, I am confident with my shooting right now.... All I need is a dang deer (or 4, I drew 3 doe tags this year!) to give me a shot! LOL

Now, we just need to get this dang vacation out of the way so I can get SERIOUS.

You're making me regret selling my bow. Had a nice 45 pound wood/fiberglass recurve bow that I unloaded because I didn't shoot anymore.

Have done that too quite by accident. Thought I had completely missed my target but the other people on the range were making a big hub-bub and congratulating me so I stepped two paces to the right and finally saw it.

Kept the arrows but they broke apart during the last move. Only thing I regret is they weren't wooden shafts so there was no satisfying 'crack' sound or anything lol.

Check out the pawn shops, Eddie. I know around here there are usually some nice bows available that way.
