^^^^ I'm the same way. While I am rooting for the US overall (Canada doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of doing anything worthwhile in these summer Olympics lol darn them) I am always disappointed when an individual (no matter where they are from) makes a mistake. The individuals have worked so hard and I can't imagine how heartbreaking it would be to make a little mistake and have it take you out of the running.

OMG I know. He is a machine in the water.

his freestyle is SO different from everyone else's and have you SEEN him underwater? WOW. I never count him out until I see his last "off the wall" because he is just outstanding underwater and that's where he gains the most ground.

I can't imagine how proud his mom must be.

did you see his "schedule"? He consumes 10,000 calories a DAY. LOL that's insane.

Silver in Equestrian, I managed to see a bit of every event. I'm pretty happy :D
I am really starting to hang out for some track and field now.

UGH yes I saw it. Wasn't that heartbreaking.

So sad. I wanted to cry for the girl who plopped on her butt. :(

We are watching the volleyball now. The women are much more exciting than the men were. I wanna be out on the beach rooting them on. :D

The only "sport" I'm not feeling is the boxing... I don't quite get it, lol.

I am LOVING may-Treanor/Walsh in the womens' beach volleyball. They were on earlier tonight and they just simply ROCK.

I haven't seen any of the boxing.

I have the DVR set to tape field hockey and wrestling at like 5 am lol.

I should set our DVR as well. I've not see a lot of the categories.

The women's beach volleyball was awesome to watch, they make a great team.

Michael Phelps just got his 11th gold... amazing.

I haven't seen any of the Olympics yet, but I had to comment on the women's gymnastics team.

The gymnast named Shawn Johnson - she's from Des Moines, and at first all the newspapers around here were simply worshipping her... now they're tearing down her teammates because they "arent' as good as Shawn".... very sad. :(

Did they not see Nastia Luiken? She was pretty darn good as well.

Why can't we lay off the girls' team? They got SILVER, which everyone is acting like is terrible.

The throw her a bone once in awhile, but mostly it's a Shawn Johnson Uber Alles fest in the papers here... ugh.

That's very sad... but not surprising. The press can be so fickle.

I was very proud of all the girls... I know I couldn't do anything like they do THAT's for sure lol.

I really felt bad for peszak (I don't know if that's the correct spelling... OOPS) and the other US gymnast that got hurt basically right after she got off the plane. That would break my heart to not be able to compete this time around.

Yeah BP they air the Olympics on MSNBC and sometimes on USA.

Oh no I missed that part. who was it? If they fall off the rings are they allowed to get back up and keep going? I know they can on the pummelhorse but not sure if it's the same rules for the rings.
