Anybody making goals this year? Keep track of 'em here!

I'm going to be joining a gym next week and doing my best to go at least three times per week.

I'm also going to try to complete 1000 miles this year - either walking, running, hiking, or biking. :)

Oh I guess it's time for a new thread...

Well I wanted to run a 5k, but I messed up my foot while running a month ago and it's still not healed, so I can't run anymore. So my goal is to do 15 minutes of weights 3x a week (should do more, but I got to be realistic, I hate it), and at least 3 hours of cardio a week (bike, walking at an incline or elliptical, pretty much). And to be able to do more than 6 push ups on my toes, that would be nice, so 10 push ups a day, even if I have to finish on my knees for now.

I also want to beat my personal record for HIITs on the elliptical (just using the machine numbers), but my workouts have kinda sucked lately because I've been sick, so we'll see where that goes.

And yeah, to finally reach my goal weight would be nice (I am less than 3 pounds away).

Yes! Multiple things, actually. But, I don't have a specfic

Actually start exercising,& have a plan to go with it. Considering doing Yoga.

I'm also really wanting to eat healthier. Because frankly, I'm really unhealthy, to the point of where I think it's effecting my health. It's just so hard having an really unhealthy(& even moreso when you have no motivation.)

I think my biggest struggle will be finding motivation (which I very little of at the moment.).

So... I don't have a specfic goal yet

(And, I can't believe it's already 2015!)

Yoga is a really great starting point! It's one of my favorite things, very relaxing and doesn't have to "feel" like exercise, if that makes sense.

I thought I was going to try to shave some time off my 5k, but I'm just not really interested in speed so I'm going for building distance at a consistent speed. I want to do a 10k sometime this year.

I also want to build my upper body and core strength instead of focusing so much on legs and cardio. I've actually got really really mediocre upper body strength.

So my actual goals are to walk/run about 38 miles a week on average. I know I'll have weeks where I can barely make it, and weeks where it'll be a lot more depending on how much hiking I'm doing. I also have written a core and upper body workout that I want to alternate every other day (one day core, other day upper body) 6 days a week, with Thursday being a rest day.

Woohoo 2015!

Hike more. It's the only thing keeping my sanity. LOL.
Sigh I LOVE hiking. But the kids hate it. So every time we've tried, it's been a disaster. I'd go alone, but frankly a bit scared to, as there's often no cell reception out there.

I would like to hike more this year.

Still looking to join a gym near my new job...

Pregnant now and want to get back into the habit asap while I'm pregnant so maybe things are easier to lose afterwards...

Get back into running. That is my main goal. I want to run 12 miles fairly easily by the end of the year.

I need to lose a bit of weight, so that's in the plan, too.

I also want to eat healthier :)

Ok, I have a goal... Although I am not making it a 2015 specific goal, this one will span 2 years into 2016.

Since the Catskills are close enough that they can mostly be day hikes...I want to do the 39 peaks to be eligible for the catskill 3500 club. Then I want to be eligible for the winter portion. So thatis my goal.

Goals For 2015

This year I'm setting to eat much more healthier. I will pick 3 days out the week and to work out. and each day before bed, I want to do a 20 mins workout. This is my challenge for 2015! It is going to be a struggle because I love food and I am lazy once I'm home. Great luck with everyone's challenge! Happy New Year!

Grrr I still can't run! It's been 3 weeks since I messed up my foot while running (it was fine, then I started walking and got horrible cramps in it, even took me a few days to be able to walk again). I tried again today, managed to run 1/3 of a mile before it started to hurt again. Sucks. At least walking fast at an incline is good cardio too, and there's always the elliptical.

Well I started today with 2.1 miles running. My immediate goal is very simple: Get back to the workout schedule I had in college. I want cardio 5x a week, weights 3x. Dog walking every day (weather permitting)

After that I would like to maybe join some sort of sport or intramural kind of thing?

Run a 5k.

Track my miles.

Get my bike working and get to biking with Hank would be nice too. Or just buy a new bike. Haha

I even posted it on my facebook. Hoping that will encourage me since I know everyone knows.

I just want to be more active and capable in general.

I had some serious goals this year.

On the 2nd of 2015, I did something screwy to my rotator cuff, and made it worse throwing discs the following day for many hours...

So. I guess cardio is my main goal and I'm holding off the squat and bench weight goals I had until this heals up for good or I can get into the doctor. I don't even know if I can plank, sadly. :(

I'd like to lose 15 pounds this year, including room for muscle gain.

Have two half marathons, mud hero in July, crossfit competition at some point plus I'm aiming to place first (or top 3..) in the road point series this year.

So far 2015 has been the same as 2014.. Crossfitting& running! Got a slow cooker to help improve my eating habits so that part is looking up already!

I went to the gym less than 3 hours ago. I've had soooo many people come up and tell me good for me and encourage me to check out the gym classes they go to and give me advice about tracking miles.

I'm just really pumped for all this!
