I know you people notice its not as much exciting without manchester. Wich is true i hope she comes back but i also think there is another reason. Near the time when Manchester was on we had alot of debatable, and interesting topics. now they sseem to be more about what someone did with their dog that day, or a funny pictures, or jokes or what happened at school that day, which is fun..but we seem to have alot of these. and alot of the new threads are in the fire hydrant.. I dont really know how to explain it, but i also think we are kinda lacking in controversial/ debating exciting topics, which yes do cause argumenat..sometimes..but also which you have to admit make this forum fun..
So someone put in something like the old times..
*this is just what i have noticed(sorry if none understands this thread)

I know what you mean... most of us can debate without name calling. If everyone had the same view on everything , then there would be no learning. But, it's wrong just to put someone down by calling them names when you don't agree with them.

I think Manchesters has her own ideas and when she sees people who have little experience disagreeing with her many years experience it irritates her. Wrong or right that is the way she is!

I also know for a fact that the people who suggested she abused her dogs really created an issue with her. She lives her life for those dogs and when people suggest otherwise it really hurt her.

Yuckaduck.. we werent talking about manchester and why she acted the way she did (at least didnt)
actually my thread is about, i think another reason why chaz isnt as exciting to people is because we dont have very many debating topics that we had around manchesters time.
i said nothing negative of her on this thread.
I don't know who you are directing this to, or even if you are to anyonebut I could also state, that many people who you may think did not have much experience with dogs, actually did..

Not me thinking it was her point of view. Personally I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how old they are. Even a young young child is able to share experiences with adults. I have nothing against any of the youngsters here and that is you included; personally I think the youngsters are better behaved then some of the adults here.

I also agree there were alot of debate type threads and they have settled down some but I prefer a quieter forum. JMO. I do miss Manchesters alot though and I hope she comes back. I love chazhound no matter what though.

Lea I was in no way insulting the youngsters on this forum. I know I have learned alot from Keyodie and Dakotah, as well as Nedium, BigDog, and Richie and they are all youngsters. Smart and very mature youngsters. Youngsters who easily could be mistaken for adults had they not shared their age on the forum.

Then, someone start an interesting debate....about dogs please !

I can't think of anything right now. Not after just watching the breeders cup on tv and missing all but one bet. Yikes good thing I did not bet much or I would be shirtless right now. That is depressing enough for me for today.

yea you are right. ok, i just didnt know what you meant.
i must agree with your opinion, all in all i like a quiet forum aswell, and i am actually think that part of the reason why manchester did argue, was because of the argumentative threads that arose, im sure she would have not as been as debateful now with the threads we have now. We were all pretty argumentative at times with those threads.:)

Loved the races !! One of the winners looked just like one of our show hunters....he was from the race tracks , as were 3 of our other horses. Guess we were into horse rescue and didn't know it !! We were at a Show at Churchill Downs once and a group of horses broke out of their stalls one night and ran the track. EliN's horse was cut, and when the vet stitched him up, all he could comment on were his bowed tendons.... which never bothered him ! Luckily she was able to compete and get into the ribbons.

All of those are a matter of preference, but if it is brought to me, I will argue to the death positive reinforcement vs. "negative" reinforcement.

Would make for a fun time. :)

Well actually knowing Manchesters the way I do, she probably would be just as argumentative. SHe would likely post something just to pull someone's chain out of simple boredom. You know to get something going. She muchly enjoys playing ping pong between people. Many a time she would call me and tell me she posted just to get something going, it is her way and part of what I love about her.

I understood that and agreed. I think maybe sometimes she yanked way to hard.

I am looking at a 3 year old retired racer right now because the owner wants to get rid of it quick. He is so mad because it is a loser, but I think she would be a great jumper. SHe is beautiful, grey filly. Will keep you posted on that development.

Please do !!!! It's still in my blood ! We were into it 12 years with both girls...With 3 years difference , we were able to keep them out of the same division, which was good. EliN's last horse was 1/2 thoughbred / 1/2 Connemara . He was out of Night Lark . Got him at 2 and we did all the work from the get-go ! She was State Champ in Children's, Junior, Senior, Non- Thorough Bred, plus various Equitations and Medal's . Sorry I'm bragging !!!!
