Picking a small indoor show, so Nina can 'learn the ropes, She did Great! Great experience for her!

Only 4 Borzoi at the show, but we wanted to get her out, and start her out.

( drum roll please...)

Best of Breed Puppy, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex!! Also makes her first point.

And now a video. The lightening indoors is that yellowish lightening, but its great how well she did! ( show picture to follow when received).

I got her show picture and its beautiful! Hubby is scanning it tomorrow as our scanner died..

I know most do not care for Nina, but we do, and she is a great little girl as well as Lindsey.

I am still still proud of both of them- first show out- points and even a major on the other.

Who doesn't care for Nina? She is so beautiful! I think sighthounds are the most majestic of all the dog breeds.

As for people not caring for her. Who cares? There are lots of dobes out there I dont care for, simply because they are not my type.

Thank you..
I do not understand the lack of response. I mean a young dog starting her show career- and yea I know based off of number dogs present and mostly for training picking the show, but she did well.. And its like no one cares a bit.

Hey Nina got a point. And her very first show. Many breeds she has never seen before in life... ( confused by blood hounds.). And yes- Lindsey got a major first show weekend but more dogs.. But Nina's career has started.

Congrats!

I couldn't help thinking that the ring they had the borzois running around seemed a tad small. :p But I know nothing about showing. Regardless, she looked lovely.

She's a very pretty girl. :)

What do you mean nobody cares? Are you talking about the people at the show?

How old is Nina now?

She is 11 months. Lindsey is 15 months.

do you do any field work w/ your borzoi?
Yes - they have 4 acreas here and know how to lure course. Due to rules- they can not compete until a year old. Lindsey has been to one as a practice and Nina can go at the end of this month.

will you be competing in NOFCA events?
on the lure coursing, if the dog short cuts the turns that is actually a good thing for retaining working ability, a dog that follows the route of the lure exactly will be an inferior worker.
congratulations on the show wins.
