I got a betta male about a week ago and rwo female bettas.. they are just so pretty.. I figured I'd share some pics!

Aww.. that's poopie! I hope mine have a long life.. they did get some cottony growths but they're being treated and seem fine so far.. fingers crossed!

Mine is 3 years old and still going strong!Beautiful fishies.Oh and if you have the male and female in the same tank..you might soon have babies..just watch out.But in your pictures it doesn't seem like he has made any bubbles so maybe not.

Beauty!!! I got a beta about a month or so ago too. They're so pretty..err handsome, mine's a boy.

He makes lots of bubbles on the top of his tank. Does this mean that he wants a girlfriend maybe?

Bettas make bubble nests lots.. they do it to breed but they also do it when they're alone.. I haven't seen any baby behaviour yet.. but I'm prepared if it ever comes to that

It's recommended not to keep more then one together unless both female however. Providing there is plenty of space and you get rather passive ones of course. Until they show breeding stripes/colours, your girlie could get hurt!

Squidbert, pleasepleaseplease seperate your Bettas! Males are incredibly territorial, and do not tolerate females in their "territory" for long periods of time. They have been bred for aggression. I breed Bettas, and only keep one female in the (10 gallon minimum) tank for 1 day, just enough time to court & spawn. Even then, the girl always gets beat up and takes a few weeks to recover from shredded fins. If the female is left in the same tank after spawning, the male will kill her as she is a threat to the eggs. It is not natural for males & females to live in one space together, and I have heard countless stories of males suddenly killing females in the same tank.

Please do that for me, your 3 are adorable and they should live long, happy lives with you. =]
