He's a three year old boy cat we adopted yesterday.
Look at his giant fat head.

Our family lost our Best Cat Ever about a year and half ago. He was a one of a kind and my moms buddy. Our current cats are.....basically nonexistant.
So for the last year we've been looking for the right cat. Confident, social, out going etc. And we found him!

Yesterday after getting very frustrated because the ads on Craigslist and shelters have basically no REAL info about the cats I emailed one asking if they get a cat in of this description could they tell me.
Well, I got an email back right away naming three cats that might fit and saying they were doing a show at a nearish Petco if I wanted to stop by. So called my mom and asked if she wanted to go after she got off of work. She went back and forth (because it's been hard for her after loosing her cat) but said fine we could go look.

We got there and there was a women in a sectioned off pen holding this big old cat (Twitch) and I immediately zeroed in on him. They let us both in the pen and put the cats they had emailed me about in there but neither my mom or I could take our attention off of Twitch. He was just laying there in the middle of the pen with all these kittens and people and cats running around him in the middle of Petco.
He was rubbing up against us and then rolled over for belly rubs almost immediately. He watched everything going on, wasn't freaked out at all but was very people oriented. It was just instant love.

So yeah, filled out the application (explained why our dogs were intact which she was really happy I was honest about and explained why) and they let us take him home right then and there.
Apparently he was an owner surrender Chicago Animal Control and this group pulled him about two weeks ago. Got him neutered (which is why he's got such a big old boy head), vaccinated and all that jazz and he was just put up for adoption yesterday.
The fosterer said that he walked into her house like he lived there all his life and that was exactly what he did here last night. No issues, completely comfortable.
