I picked them up cheap at a discount store in the States. I can't remember the name, but if you mentioned a chain of discount stores... lol

I had originally thought Phoenix and could do Phe or Nix, but neither suit her.

She's lovely! I'll admit, I'm kind of a sucker for that type of coat.

And if she's the right dog, and you feel that, then it is not too soon. Only you can know that for sure. I chose Argon just two weeks after losing Lilly, and I actually chose Grimm on the day I lost Neon, though I did not bring him home right away. When the right dog is there, you know, and you know that the one you lost sent you that gift.

What about Simurgh, like the Persian phoenix? You could call her Sim or Simmy, and when she's frustrating you can call her 'Urgh'.

Simurgh was the nasty dragon in the Hobbit wasn't it. I do like the 'urgh' though lol.

I think I am sticking with Seren, short for Serendipity. And I can call her dippy when she is being silly/bad.

The dragon was Smaug. But I like Seren much better. Congrats! She's really beautiful.

Hmm there is something I have read that had teh Simurgh in it.
