Isn't he adorable... in kind of an uggo way? :rofl1:
I kidnapped him, in an effort to help find him a home. Apparently all the folks that say they would snap up a well bred Doberman with natural ears in a heartbeat... well, they disappear when a well-bred puppy from finished and health tested parents comes along. *sigh*

Anyway, he's 5.5 months. I'm calling him Evander. He couldn't be cropped due to an ear injury that happened when he was extremely young. As you can see, about a third of his ear is missing. No sense in giving him a "military crop" so the ears were left au naturale.

Oh! He's so handsome!

They really couldn't just do a shorter crop? I LOVE short crops.. I think show crops are ridiculous looking! But, I love natural eared Dobes even more lol

Cute! I like his ears! You are right - no point in clipping them. They are adorable Congratulations!

Evan!!! LOL, he's so cute & dorky... I love him. <3 One of the cutest natural eared Dobies I ever saw. I am partial to cropped ears, but I'm sure you of all people will find him the best home. (yours) ;)

Ok that video made me laugh... Talla keeping hold of Jayne... Jayne actually thinking he's being restrained and trying to get Evander to play... Evander ears... and the look on K's face. Best video ever.

OMG!!!!

*****Want!!!!*****

Seriously, He's adorable!!!! I think his ears give him character!!!

My Mom was terrified of our Dobe (Cropped) even though he wouldn't hurt a fly... But once we were in town and she was fussing over this sweet female natural Dobe... I said Mom you realize that's a Dobe same as Wolf? She was stunned!! LOL they do look far less intimidating with natural ears...

No way - you don't go to one of the most talented and skilled Doberman croppers in the world and ask for a crop that the uneducated vet down the street would provide. If we were going to put him through cropping, it would have been for a nice long crop.

You may think show crops are ridiculous looking, but he's from show lines and would have been a show dog if not for his ear. I for one prefer the medium-length show crops on my dogs. ;)

I love him. Is he from working lines?
Nope, show lines, but that's not to say he won't be a handful. ;)

If it was two/four years from now I'd be all over him. Byron's to old to take another dobe now. He'd love it but I have to limit his blitz time because he over does it.

The ears give character! Get him out there and someone will love him. How could they not- he's a dobe!
