Isn't she amazing? She captured the true essence of our Bella baby... love it. :)
I agree with you.. it's just beyond words. I see beautiful paintings and drawings often.. accurate ones, too... but seeing one that captures someone so perfectly is just astounding to look at. I'd be lying if I didn't say it (literally) took my breath away.

Every time I see works of art like that, it reminds me of why I keep drawing.. because I want to be able to do that someday. Brandy, your work is amazing.

Oh my gosh, guys, I am floored and so appreciative of all of your kind words. That means so much to me, and I am blushing right now reading all these wonderful posts. I must say, Bella was a dream to draw, one of my favorites. Thank you all so much!!

Thank you both - you're making me blush. Bella is one of my favorites that I've completed. What a great dog to draw with all those wrinkles and that expression. :)

Renee, I don't do a lot of gouache work, but it's tons of fun when I finally get to it. It has a really nice texture and goes on the board so smooth - like melted butter - LOL. :)
And I can get some really neat colour combos with it as well.
