Neat ideas for re-use? Got an old metal rake?

This might be a new favourite, I LOVE that shabby style in a kitchen. Which is strange, since I like a goth/roccoco style elsewhere.

Got any you love?

Oh, I love that! Our house is shabby chic/cottage/beach house decorated. I don't have anything super creative, though. We use an old (100 year old) chest as a coffee table... Does that count? Lol

Okay, you have no idea how obsessed I am with chests/trunks.

I want so many of them. I want them eveywhere.
My roommate bought me a small one, I can probably fit a small cat into it (that's my size comparison for you :rofl1: ), for Christmas. It's covered in this old weathered atlas and I love it.

Ugh I just love when people use trunks as things. They are so nice to look at, and they are functional. Everywhere. I wish I knew how to work wood and metal, I'd just build chests and trunks all day. For myself.

Great idea! We're not wine drinkers, tho, but I could see me using an old rake for a leash rack.

We've been using a chest my grandfather made as an end table for years. I have an old steamer trunk I tried using as a coffee table, but it didn't work so well because of the "ribbing" on the top. One of these days we'll get a piece of plexi glass to put on it.

Love that.....

I've been trying to do as much DIY and re-use stuff as much as I can for the new stuff, but i've stopped as I don't really know what our style is going to be in the house. :(

But I have an old trunk :)

I found these pictures of pure awesomeness.

A Bar!!
