I really like how he absolutely avoided every valid reason for why he's an idiot. Cesar may suck at training dogs, but he's great at sidestepping!

Awwkkkwarddd...

I dunno... I don't have any great hate for Cesar Milan... I DO really think people should stick him with questions on the science behind dog behavior...and I do think he should be questioned on non physical methods, and how he feels morally about causing discomfort when it isn't necessary. However the format there was so accusatory that I'm not surprised we didn't get anywhere. It was more like, "hey our viewership doesn't like this guy so let's make him reallllyyy uncomfortable and achieve nothing."

Not sure I was thrilled with it (the interviewer kept saying 'well you wouldn't treat your children like that' WELL NO S*** SHERLOCK, dogs and kids are not the same species), but I do appreciate the word is being spread that these techniques can be harmful.

FWIW, I'm way rougher on kids than I am on dogs. Kids have conscious, they have morals, they SHOULD know better, and eventually they grow up. Dogs do not.

I enjoyed watching CM squirm towards the end. His views on dog behavior need to be brought into the open and questioned, too.

He didn't give him much of a chance to explain himself, really. He didnt seem to enjoy having him on his show a all... But Cesar looked VERY uncomfortable once that host began calling him out and insisting that it was indeed a 'punch' :D

I would have loved more discussion for sure. He was railroaded but I don't think the host had any interest in entertaining CM.

CM talks a great game, calm energy is great but I don't see it when he's abusing dogs.

Ha I found this funny for another completely different reason.
A. This guy said Cesar punched a dog. He didn't. He claw jabbed her... jabbing would be the most appropriate term
B. The interviewer kept saying "you wouldn't do this to kids". Guess what? Dogs aren't kids.
C. He pointed out that Cesar uses e-collars and prongs. Cesar uses the tools that the owners provide. He doesn't use these himself (not that I've seen).
I think Cesar kept his cool in this interview and did very well.
Yet again: I won't say that I agree with everything Cesar does and I do think some dogs on some situations can benefit from positive reinforcement BUT not dogs that are severely far gone.
This is a society that humanizes dogs. A society full of incompetent morons that think treating is an appropriate way to deal with an ANIMAL. I wrote that in capitals because people think/believe that they are furry children.
I can guarantee you that if you got hungry enough. If you were watching your actual children starving... your dog would become the main course nom nom... lol.
That's my 2 cents ;)
