I took Eggo, my African Pancake Tortoise outside today for a romp in the grass and of course a little snacking... this is the first time I've posted pictures of her (sex is not actually known yet, but she SHOULD be a girl) because all my previous ones are utter crap. 
She is, oh, let's see... 5 years old. Still growing! They grow slowly. And I will admit now I didn't give her a great diet at first. She's really taken off in the last couple years, after I worked out a doable food/water schedule. Some folks only water their pancakes twice a month! Max size is 6" so a small turtle anyway.

Close-up of the shell. She has some slight pyramiding (doh!) but the scute outlines are actually normal of the species - she was outlined when I got her, not long after she hatched.
Eyeing the grass. I do actually have a video of her eating it.. I'm just lazy.
