So I am sitting in the basement browsing the Internet on my laptop, and Petey finds it just fascinating. He is watching every movement on the screen, like when I scroll down the web page, and that nice animated ad at the top of the forum, and he is even watching these words as I type them. But the most captivating thing is my cursor! Petey keeps trying to chase the cursor and I keep pushing his furry butt out of my way. Having a kitten is taking some getting used to. For years we only had adult cats who weren't much fazed by anything and were content just to lay there and purr on you. But Petey is a mover and a shaker, and is always getting into something.:p

The SPCA told us he was 6 or 7 months old, but the vet thinks he's five months old because he still has kitten teeth, but he's HUGE for five months, 8lbs already, he's gonna be a BIG cat! He's already as big as many adult cats.

ETA: I heard a noise and he was on my parent's poker table getting into the poker chips! Kittens are like puppies, you can't take your eyes off them for a second. :D

$nack does that too. She also blocks my vision at the same time. lol. Hopefully she won't decide to claw the screen before she gets bored with the idea. And then there's mojo. He takes a different approach:

Venus is a full grown, mature cat....6 years old. She only occasionally gets interested in the movement on the screen, but she's constantly walking in front of the screen. It's very annoying. I push her out of the way, but she doesn't catch on, or she doesn't care. She just keeps walking back and forth in front of the screen. Sometimes she pushes the keyboard off the desk (and I'm here to catch it) to really stretch out in front of the screen.

Charlie doesn't bother with the computer very much. He used to LOVE to stretch out on top of the monitor, but we've gotten one of those flat screens now, and he can't fit on top of that.

My cat loves laptops too! Dad gets his out, and the cat goes over and starts sucking up to him, nudging him etc, then he slowly moves in front of him and lies on it! It's so cute and is absolutely hilarious.
The thing is, he's not a little kitten, he's an 11 year old, fat (6kgish, we are trying to drop that) cat so when he gets in the way he really does. Having said that though, he's not really a people cat, so when he acts nice like this we can't get mad.

well than you've got a special kitten there... I think Petey is more attactive than the other ones and until he's not walking on your laptop's keyboard.. i'm sure he's not disturbing you too much.
