Instead of writing on Chazhound. I do not think she gets what this community is all about. SHe said bloggers visit each other's blog. I cannot possibly see it being the same. Besides I think we try to make a difference here for the greater good and that is by pooling together. I don't know how to explain it to her. There is no way I would change.

I don't think one is better than the other. Both mediums are very different. I maintain a knitting blog, and a blog on AlliePets. I use both to generate traffic - for my knitting patterns and for my business. I do make blogger friends on my blogs, but it's not quite the same.
I'm on Chaz here for the community and a much broader audience for questions, photos I post, etc. Yes I promote my business here, but it's the friends and community I'm here for that I feel you don't have when you blog.

i agree...totally different things!!
If i had a blog, I'd have nothing to write about, lol. I like having so many peoples' ideas in one place...gets me thinking a lot (even if I dont respond) in ways I would never think about when reading a blog (since its just one person's brain).
I've never really looked into blogs, but to me, a forum like this is a community...
a blog is more of an independent thing.

IT's like a family to me too. As if your walking into a kitchen that is warm and inviting. Pull up a chair and a cup of tea. I learn so much from the people here. You all make me laugh, I care about your animals, I care about the people here, I make new friends. A blog just seems so not me. I know she is trying to help, but I wouldn't trade for anything. I only have so much time and energy to spend this way. I can't begin to imagine doing more than one forum but then again if your not a mod maybe you don't have to read a majority of the threads. Anyway I want to tell all of you how much I enjoy your company and thank you for the outpouring of love for Mary. Can't see that happening on a blog.
