Grandma and Grandpa bought my daughter (Sierra) a pony. She will be 5 soon so it's kinda a birthday present. His name is Ponyboy and he's about 20+ years young. :D

How cute! He sounds like the perfect pony for a little girl. And maybe it's just me, but your daughter looks tall for a 5 year old. She's adorable!

Cute pony..do you guys have a lot of experience with horses?
You could say that. My mother was raised around horses since Sierra's age. She passed that on to me.. and now this is the 3rd generation. :)

We breed big girls. ;) Most women in my family are near 6ft tall. I'm 5'9 myself.

Adorable :)

looks like "Ponyboy" is nice and realiable as well!! Good choice - the older ponies are generally the best to get for young kids anyways lol

The young ones can be handful! lol We have a young Shetland at the farm and he was a little jerk at times lol He did like to wrestle though.. He'd see me walk into the pasture and he'd run up to be and wrap his head around my waist and start grooming me lol he was adorable.

Hehe. . .Ponyboy. He is adorable!!! It sounds like a good match. That's a great age of a pony/horse for a beginner/young rider. She does look tall for 5! Adorable girl.

Actually he needs to relearn some manors. Since he has been in pasture for the last 5 yrs he's learned some bad habits. Like mouthing at people when he's "had enough". But my mom will take care of that. He just needs a refresher course in manors.
