Hello everyone. My wife and I rescued our american bulldog "Biggie" about a year ago. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and truly a "gentle giant".
We only have one problem He doesn't like his nails trimmed. it was suggested we use a muzzle. He seems ok with wearing one. We just can't seem to find one that fits. Any recommendations? Also, has anyone else had this problem with nail trimming?

We've only had it done once in the year we've had him. All of the places we tried were unsuccessful, execpt one, and she could only manage his back legs.

If he will wear a muzzle it doesn’t appear you have much of a choice. Unfortunately, since he was a rescue and probably never had the procedure done from the time he was a puppy, difficult to get him to do it now.

Baskerville muzzles are nice, they allow the dog to take treats and pant while wearing it while still keeping everyone safe.

Ill have to keep that in mind because my older dog can be unpredictable and sometimes when I have certain visitors I worry about him snapping at someone. I dont know much about muzzles but will check into it. Thanks for the information.

We use a Baskerville muzzle for our dog for vet and vet tech visits. It’s great. It took my dog just a couple times to adjust to it. She doesn’t really “like” it but it keeps everyone safe.
