Rocket has what I affectionately call a "Fairy Foot." When he thinks he's being extra smart and snappy during training that day, he sits with one foot in the air. He's always been a prancer, but I think I know now that he may just in fact be a soft mushy fairy in a Doberman outfit.

We've been working a lot on body positioning and movement. I've always thought that dogs that prance around when they are heeling are adorable, but I never thought I'd own one that gets excited to do it. He thinks he's something else, throwing those front feet as far out as he can while keeping his head in heel position. I'll have to get pics of it sometime.

Anyhow, I enlisted my husband in order to get some stacked pics. The angle is a little funky on some - you'll be able to tell. It's amazing how different your dog looks when you change the way you stack them slightly.

He's 14 months old.

Thanks for looking!

He's looking good! One of these days, we should get Mr. FairyFeet and Miss. Hannibal Lector together for a photoshoot with a nice background!

I like the last one best, although he looks more 'engaged' in the earlier ones, but I like his natural shoulder placement in the last one. Gorgeous dog!

He does look amazing, but you really scared me there with the missing Noodle.
She scared the crap out of us that day. She's the "teeny hunter" and will go after anything that moves with a vengeance...I never expected her to chase for so far and then be able to recognize my husband's truck driving up the street. She was really lucky that day...no collar, no microchip. We double check the fence line everyday now to make sure there aren't any more bunny holes under the fence. (What kind of rabbit makes a home in a yard that smells like dogs???)

I'd like to try earthdog with her sometime.

The last one is definitely the best of the bunch...he's not as bunched in the front and his topline looks much better.

I never realized how much work it takes to stack....it's even harder to train him to do it on his own...maybe someday I can pay a pro to do it for me!
