I just got finnished making a double fudge dark chocolate bunt cake :) . Its for Christmas eve but the more I get done now the less I have to do that day. Last night I made my Spinach dip and Rye bread and a few other things I know will keep fresh. Anyways this is my first time making a bunt cake and was alittle nervouse about how it would bake. But it turned out ok I think lol it hasent cooled enough for me to take it out of the bunt pan so im not sure if it did take shape well. Tomarow night im going to build my Lasagna im making one veggie and one meat pan and then im going to make my homemade icing for my cake :). Then its going to set over night so it can get thick and then the next morning i'll put it on the cake. Im pretty excited can't you tell? lol

I've got a breakfast dish ( bread/ham/eggs/bacon ) to do, hardsauce ( lots of brandy for the english plum pudding ), special salad dressing, and Christmas Eve menu of Prime Rib roast/baked pots/ fresh steamed green beans/mushrooms and the flaming plum pudding ..... table will be set with Christmas English crackers with hats, prizes etc for all. OOOO! forgot the Yorkshire pudding!!!

Don't even get me started on Christmas eve! I don't know WHAT I am going to do. I was planning a nice family dinner with me, my husband, our daughter and the dogs. Ofcourse the inlaw's changed their mind half a dozen times about coming and have now finally decided to come and so now I have to schedule everything and I am FREAKING out. I have never made a dinner for people. Hey Love4pits can I just send them over to your house, your food sounds like it will probably be better :D.

Pits, your fixings sound wonderful! I love spinach dip! Do you hollow out the rye bread and put the dip in the middle? (((SCRUMPTIOUS!!))) I have Thanksgiving and Christmas at my house, and after the huge amount of food for Thanksgiving, Christmas is a bit laid back for us. We are having prime rib, Tony's famous garlic roasted taters, brocolli (sp?), and carrots. That's it! Tony does most of the cooking this time around. He won't let me NEAR the prime rib. I guess there is a science to the prep and making of it. AKA - I ACT stupid about it LOL But, then I have dish duty (along with my mom and MIL). Its a good tradeoff I guess.

That cake sounds delicious..I just love chocolate fudge cake..it's making me so hungry just reading what everyone is preparing. I'm about to start our christmas cake - I've been thinking I've got loads of time, then suddenly realised Christmas is nearly here!
