Noooope.

If I was single, with only one sedentary dog? Quite possibly. But I'm not. And I like having pocket pets. And large, clumsy dogs that play fetch in the house and break things. My books. My PIANO. Nooooope. (Not to mention kids!)

That being said, we did just watch a documentary on Tiny Houses and I think they are a brilliant idea. It also made me realize that I don't *need* a ton of space. But i do need more than 300sq feet. LOL Our 600sq feet apartment was pushing it with just us and the dogs

If we had to, totally.

We lived in a 14' popup trailer for about 6 months at one point with one dog (later two!)

That was not ideal and wouldn't work long term, though. And honestly, the shared kitchen would bug me!

We currently live in a 1100 sf single family home, which is honestly too much space. We only use the upstairs. The downstairs is practically untouched except that is where our laundry is and some storage.

I'd love to get a small log cabin in the future that was about 900 sf. I think that would be perfect for the two of us and the dogs.

I would like a small house on big land preferably. I've had 600 sq ft apartments and for me and two small dogs it was great. My last place was 900 sq ft and was meh but not because of space.

I am kind of liking 1600 sq ft now though. I've got too much stuff and it's nice and roomy. I would not want much bigger though as a single person. I've got a guest bedroom, a master bed, and a work room with a desk and soon to be treadmill. It's nice. I feel like it's a home instead of just a place I crash, which my other houses/apartments felt like. I still felt like I was in college with them.

But... I really only need the master bedroom, the living area, kitchen and the walk in shower. AND MY WALK IN CLOSET! I have never had one of those before and I LOVE IT. LOVE IT. LOVE IT.

And I adore having a nice yard.

Heck no. I would go stark raving mad with such little space. I don't like small spaces, lol. Dog or no dog, it's more of an issue with me feeling too closed in.

if i could design a house that was bed, desk, kitchen, and big tub, maybe the bed on top of the desk, i could probably deal with *looks around at her current room* 150 sq feet? after having moved 6 times in the last 4 years, i have come to the conclusion that i dont actually need stuff to be happy, and the stuff i do need can be all electronic format ANYWAY (books, games, doctor who). if it werent for dogs, i could pretty much live on a hammock and a laptop

our first apartment as a married couple was about 700 square feet. 2 people and a cat. i wouldn't want anything smaller unless I could save lots & lots & lots of money

No I like space. I like to be able to get away from those I live with on occasion (though I love them dearly)

If I had the money I would have a huge house. I would always be inviting people over to stay, planning dinner parties. And then enjoying the quiet space of it all in the inbetween times.

Aside from that, especially once I'm done school and don't need the desk to study. Sign me up for tiny apartment + lotsa green space.

I'd take the one in the photo in a heartbeat IF it were just me and the dogs. Josh makes too much of a mess to live with me there

I've lived in a 390sq foot apartment for the past 5 years. Currently I have 3 dogs (40lbs, 35lbs, 27lbs) and one Persian kitten living with me.

It's honestly no big deal. We're all easy going, and I could probably cut the front room/foyer/living room (aka the spare bedroom to make things sound bigger

) off and be just fine.

Of course I'm a hermit who doesn't have many people over, and they never spend the night, which pleases Gambit to no end, so that could change things.

In 2 or 3 years, I'm hoping to add a 3rd permenant dog, and I haven't even considered moving.

I'm pretty adaptable and I'm young/not married, so if I needed to live in a tiny space for a while, I could do it. It wouldn't be my ideal, though.
I lived in a dorm with a roommate for a year and didn't mind it in the slightest, although I don't have any desire to go back to the dorm life.

I can keep things neat, but I'm not naturally inclined to put everything away right after I use it. In super small spaces, this leads to a bit of a cramped, cluttery feel.

I'd much prefer a slightly larger home in a less populated area to a tiny apartment in the middle of a city. That said, I don't know that I'd ever want a really big house. In my dream world, I'd end up with enough space to spread out and enough storage space to have things easily out of the way, but no more space than gets used regularly. Except kitchen and bathroom space.... I would LOVE to have a big kitchen and lots of bathroom counter/storage space.

Getting a really big yurt is something that has intrigued me, especially placing it on a deck type structure with a more conventional wood walled room beneath it.

I'd strangle Frodo because I bet barking would be even more annoying in that tiny of a space. Also wouldn't want to split that with another human. Especially not in my current situation, since we have company over, ALL THE TIME.

Not a chance. Our home is small (main floor ... two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room) is less than 1000 feet. I could not go smaller than that. we are bursting at the seams as it is. As it stands now, the dogs are always underfoot in this living space... I'm not sticking them with me in a smaller space lol.

I don't want a really LARGE house though. An extra bathroom and a guest bedroom and I'm good lol. having only one full bath means we almost all always end up in the bathroom at the same time for one reason or another. BUT our small main living space means if anyone has an issue... we better get it figured out and fix it because there's no getting away from each other in here lol.

a yard is a MUST though. Somewhere the dogs can go and lay in the sun and chase critters for hours and where Hannah can go out and play with her sand box or "pick flowers" (weeds lol) whenever she feel like it, etc

K, Crossbone and I lived in a 750 sq foot house....but we were happy when we moved to the 1200 sq foot house last year because it gave us a guest bedroom and a space for a big dining room table! But the selling point was the big yard.

We could happily live in a tiny space (as long as it had a YARD) and is in walking distance of everything that we love.

Me, Hubby and the two dogs spent a weekend in this boat house and we just kept talking about how it was the perfect size for the four of us.
