There's this big, huge field right across the little road that goes behind my house, not the main road. Someone told me, but I'm not positive that it's a nature preserve or some such thing. (I suppose I could find out) But if someone owns it, you'd never know. There are a bunch of old, old apple trees that I get when they're ready because no one else gets them. Most of them fall on the ground and the deer eat them.

There are a handful of people, like 2 or 3 that take their dogs in there and I'm one of them. So, there's never anyone there when I go over. It's right, directly behind my house. It must be close to 3 or 4 acres. I feel so lucky to have this place so close and it's unusual in a suburb like this.

So, pretty much every day we go back there and now that the Poodles have gotten quite reliable with the recall, (if there's nothing extraordinarily more motivating) they get to go off leash like their big brother, Jose`. We practice that a little bit while they zoom around exploring. We make a few laps around this property and then go around the neighborhood the long way around back home. Usually, I take each dog on his own walk, but lately, I've been taking all three together quite a lot because they really have a rip roarin' good time.

Here are some photos of the other day's outing. I'm a terrible photographer, so I hope you can see them. They look pretty small. Of course, I guess they ARE small. lol.

Weeeeeeee...zoomieeeeee!!!

Exploring

Matisse! Maurice! Come!

Buttercups! There's a creek down there.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my wee ones. I don't post pictures very often and decided to just do it.

Thanks guys. I do feel fortunate because I'm right smack dab in the middle of suburbia, so to be able to use a piece of property like that is nice. Where I use to live in Idaho it was even better...right in the wilderness and there were hiking trails in the most glorious places. There are great hiking places here in Washington too. But I'd have to drive a ways for them. For a quick, out the door...no car kind of walk without leashes where they can zoom, this is indeed fun for them. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the little ones. Jose` runs along a little bit but he is 13 years old so not as energetic as the Poodles and a little arthritic. Matisse and Maurice really do need plenty of exercise, those two. But it's good for Jose` too.

Thanks again for your nice comments and hope you liked the pics.
