Nolu, is your mom still up for the Renn Festival on the 23rd???

If so... anyone want to join us??? I really really want to go and want to take it as an opportunity to work on my photography. It's going to be in Maryland and I was thinking Saturday the 23rd would work out best? So.... any takers???

What if I bribe you with their super AMAZING turkey legs? You haven't had turkey legs until you've eaten these turkey legs... mmmmmm

Tickets are $18 per person and trust me it's totally worth it. If you go to their website they have a coupon you can print out that's valid until September 8 and brings the price of your ticket down to $14.

THey use to have roast turkey lets at the KC City Market. People would walk by wanting to get rid of the bone and the meat they couldn't finish and ask if Bronki woujld like the rest I would give him a sample and store the rest. By the end of the day he had quite a collection of roast turkey meat to go home and share with Mary on their dinners all week. HAve fun at the R festival and looking forward to your photos.

i attend the NYRF in tuxedo ny during the season, id realy like to get down to maryland but it is definatly a 3 day trip a full day to get there, a day at faire and a full day home...some of my friends will be attending though.
im going to TRY to be there if my bf can arrange for the weekend off if i dont have a job by that point, havent been to maryland fair yet.

as a side note...

faires turkey legs are NOT turkey! its young emu! (think about it, how many times have you ever had a thanksgiving turkey with that many tendons) but it tastes alot like turkey and are yummy so dont let it put you off...
try the pulled pork though MMMM!

the only problem when i go to a faire is i require all "traveling passengers" to get dressed up
im a true renny lol, used to work faires!

yup its something like 98% of renfaires use emu instead of turkey because the meat tastes the same but its cheaper for them to buy and the legs are larger!

and getting dressed up is the best part!
