Well . . . sorta. LMAO!

Teeny earned her PSA1 today!

First Alapaha to earn a PSA title (she was second to earn the PDC, which is a certificate). She also earned "with distinction" (meaning she did really well) in one of the bitework scenarios (attack on handler) AND she also won second place in the tournament portion . . . and was the only bulldog competing against swamp collies in the 1's today.

I couldn't be any more proud of her. I just adore this dog and I know it's mighty arrogant but I LOVE the fact that we just keep making history within the breed and the sports that we compete in. I'm proud to be a part of this whole thing, and at the same time it seems completely surreal!

Love my Teeny Beans <3

Elegy: That would be because I'm the only one who seems to take pics and vid and with my broken computer (so I can't unload my camera) I am stuck. I think my friend took pics, we'll see . . .

CharlieDog: Swamp Collies are usually Mals or Dutchies. I always forget that it's a local term. LOL!!

Thats awesome, it would be awesome to be part of the start of a breed like that.

I have to ask though, is Alapaha pronounced like its spelt? Where did the name come from?

A-lap-a-ha. Just as it's spelled. It's a region (river) in Georgia, where they were first created. Weird name, I know ;)

Thanks Sis, I've always wondered for when I mention them to people, wanted to make sure I was saying it right.
Have they exported to any other countries yet?

There have been some exported (from the OTHER type of Alapaha) to a kennel in England, but as far as I know that's been it.

Awesome! Very cool! I always like hearing about off breeds beating some Mal butt and it's especially fun when it's a bulldog breed

Like the guy in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil said, "it' ain't braggin' if you really done it." :)

Oh, and remember, we love Miss Teenykins too (and Blue Cratebane too) and could stand some pics and vids of them from time to time???

AHHH, I was thinking swamp collies were GSD's for whatever reason. And google failed me, it just kept bringing up kennels for Goldens, lmao.

That's awesome! I wish I could do Schutzhund with my GSD boy (TEN DAYS!!!) but for legal reasons, we're forgoing bite training.

Renee I know I know! Trust me I would like pictures and video of my OWN dogs. Unfortunately I'm having computer issues and until I have the money to get it fixed then I can't take anything off of my camera :(

Grab, I rehomed Isis back in the spring as she was not going to make the cut for the breeding program. She now lives with a relative of one of my employees and I get to see her from time to time. She is doing great and I swear that mini-Alapaha hasn't grown an ounce since I sent her off. LOL!
