Lubbock, TX

Does anyone know anything about Lubbock, Texas? My daughter and her boyfriend are moving there this summer,because he is going to play baseball at Texas Tech University!!! She is a little nervous about it, so I was wondering if anyone can give me any info about it? He has also gotten three calls from the Baltimore,Orioles!!! We're pretty excited!

I live around Houston, Tx, but I have been to Lubbock before. It's a pretty cool place. An old friend of mine went to play baseball for Texas Tech a few years ago too. Congratulations!!!!!

My husband's parents live in Houston, TX. Actually it is Spring, TX, outside of Houston. I really like Houston, we get to go about once or twice a year. We went to see them in August for a few days, and now they are coming here this upcoming weekend for their Christmas with us. My hubby's sister still lives near Boston (that is where they are originally from) and they will be with her the weekend after they see us. His dad is in security for continental airlines so they travel quite a bit.
