I guess I should add

Irish Wolfhound -planned future breed

Great Dane - current breed and future breed

standard poodle with full face and puppy cut - possible future breed (and grew up with one without full face)

scruffy labra or goldendoodle - maybe if one came up in rescue

St. Bernard - had growing up but dont like the "new" look with more squished faces

Berner - still debating on whether this breed could fit.....

I'd pick a medium-sized dog (30-something pounds) with light to moderate bone, well-balanced overall with nice but not overdone angulation, a natural sort of head, good length of neck and legs, full tail, solid black, straight close-lying coat with feathering.

I would post a photo of this breed but to my knowledge a perfect match does not exist.

If I was JUST basing it in looks:

Rough Coated Collie
Sheltie
Shiloh Shepherd
Ibizan (smooth)
Off the track Greyhound (the show lined ones I've seen just look...weird to me! )
Afghan Hound

Meg would like to tell you where you can stick your opinions on greying faces.

(I know jokes don't come across in writing - it's a joke. Trust me.)
Oz agrees , he blames the damned Border Collies for his grey though. He turned grey at 3 when Cobain came home.

Just grabbing images from google.

Alaskan noble companion dog, because YARROW. Seriously, if the breed is true to his type, I'm sold. One hundred freaking percent.

Salukis are almost too lovely to be real dogs.

Shibas.

Black sable GSDs

Dals:

Edit: NVM HUGE PIC

Border Collies. The dark, slinky, creepy ones with light colored eyes and a stare that burns into your flesh. No picture necessary, as I'm pretty sure a lot of people have already met a BC like this.

Weird colors interest me on an individual dog basis.. Sable merle BCs with blue eyes? YAS.

Patchy Labradors? YAS.

i need to stop!

I think a nice, standard size Rat terrier, lean and muscular is one of the most strikingly beautiful dogs.
ETA: and of course Crossbone is the best looking dog I know ;) I wish for his cost to be shorter and more sleek and his chest to not be so big---but he's darn near perfection. :p

So Akitas, yeah. Long haired Akitas, too. Then...

Tibetan Mastiff (black/tan)
Caucasian Ovcharka
Leonberger (that I may have some day)

Lhasa Apso (full coat)
Doberman Pinscher
Belgian Tervuren
Saluki (heavy feathers)
Borzoi

I'm not super into labs as a whole, but I think Em is the most beautiful dog that's ever lived. ugh.

I really love well proportioned dogs with sturdy pasterns, well angulated rears, deep ribcages, and a smooth topline, slight rise over the loin is okay. I really don't ask for much else, other than lack of beards, with the exception being Berger Picards. Brachy breeds can be cute, but a longer muzzle is preferred.

On the fit dogs group, there are a lot of lurcher type mixes especially in the UK, greyhound x collie, etc. I really love how they look.

Very neat seeing whatever likes. I love how Saluki's seem to be one of the universal favorites.

I may be partial, but I think Zora is beautiful ;)
I love Beaucerons with natural ears.. I really don't like cropped on any breed.

And again I may be partial, but I love a good lean chocolate lab from a working line. I think they are beautiful :)

(picture from google.)

I also think rhodesian Ridgebacks are wonderful!

(Picture from google)

I also really like Flat Coated Retrievers, Dark Malinois, and salukis.

My 100% IDEAL LOOKING DOG is a show groomed Giant Schnauzer with a nice crop and a full tail.

I can find docked/cropped, and I can find all natural. But I have yet to see one with a crop, and a full tail. But this is the ideal game, not the realistic game.
