I dont have muc, luckily *knock on wood*.

Scar under my left eye from when I was a child. I was sitting with my aunts pit/hound mix. petting him. when her stupid grumpy chiuahuah walked by, and just grabed my face for no reason (from what I can remember. probably just because he hated kids, and I was in his way).

Thats honestly the only scar I have from a dog.

I have tons of fresh scratchs on my arms, but those dont count as they are scratchs and they come from multiple dogs at work lol.

Well, Hannah damaged the cervical nerves in my spine which, still to this day, causes some degree of numbness in my left arm/hand at times.

Then there was the time when my two danes hit me running full speed and dislocated my hip and tore the tendons that hold my hip in place. That was a loooong recovery. I still have pain.

Those are the two major ones. I could fill up a page worth of the "minor" ones.

Actually, I have a bump on my head that Morgan gave me yesterday.

I had been teaching him a new trick... and he FINALLY got it yesterday morning. I leaned down to praise him at the same time he jumped up to celebrate with me. Our skulls collided. I crumpled on the floor, bawling almost instantly.

I don't think Morgan even noticed. He just continued to crawl all over me and lick my face.

I have a scar on my lip from where Izzy just about added a piercing the first morning we had her. Other than that, I have miscellaneous bumps and bruises at all times. Justin has some small burn scars from where Izzy freaked out one day on her flexi and ran circles around him while he was wearing shorts. Poor guy.

My right hand was pretty much cleaved in half between the second and third finger down to the nuckles when i tried to break up a fight.
Large scar to calf from bite from a hostile border.
Bicep puncture times 4 from a dog i was demonstrating.
Bit through the hand back to palm on three seperate occasions
WE won't even start on muscle and tendon damage, black eyes or face knocks skinned knees or bruises
Bite to eye (wow was i lucky on that one) tooth went in between the eye and socket. THat hurt.
Broken wrist

I was rolled once by a cage crazy spinning bundle of muscle labrador that was blind in one eye that hadn't been out of a kennel in 7 years. I did three more or less summersauts and came up running. (postive proof that no good deed goes unpunished):(

WE boarded a lab that bit the breast off of a 16 year old girl. PEople are under the impression that labs are all sloppy silly balls of slobber. THey don't know. Most of them are just fine and dandy. BUt there are "those" and they bit so fast and their fights are terrific and they are so strong.

WHen your just a teen and your training at least 5 field labs /pet labs a day (all at that impossible crazy age of just about 1) obedience and basics, t's like bootcamp.

forgot one..bit through the thumbnail by a small dog that would not turn loose.

funny tho it was a hermit crab that would have made me confess to sins i never commited.

LMAO at the first story, I love it!

Injuries due to dogs...

My husband got tore up really good by a stray that came in our yard and tangled with Smokey...3-4 bites on his legs, some to the bone.

Me...I've been pretty lucky. Smokey got excited and plowed into my legs at full bore...fell on my knee which had already had surgery for a torn lateral meniscus...re-tore said meniscus...haven't had the surgery yet.

Scar on my back from an setter that ripped my coat off when I was 5. I remember it very well and looking back, I'm sure that initially he was just trying to play...tugging my jacket sleeves. It got out of hand, I was crying and squeeling and I think that excited him. He ended up shaking me like a rag doll and someone got out of their car and pulled him off of me. His owners said that he went crazy and he was PTS.:(

I approached a beagle that was enjoying himself in someones garbage and he bit my wrist - 6 stitches and I remember seeing my veins.. I was 7.

When I was about 12, a big poodle mix (Nickey), badly bit me in the face when the family asked me to pick up his dish so that we could wash it. He had been licking it clean and he grabbed me, bottom jaw inside my mouth and top jaw on my cheek. I was talking about it with my mom recently, trying to remember all of the details. She said that I only got about 8 stitches but the bite was NOT the most traumatic part.
My friends mom beat Nickey within an inch of his life with a belt while I screamed at her to stop.... It was a nightmare..

A few years back while at a session for a little old blind poodle, I was bitten in the...er..breasticle.. She went to grab for my hand but I was just quick enough for her to miss, she kept snapping until she made contact...:rofl1: It was more embarrasing than painful, especailly for her "daddy" who didn't know which was to look.

And last and honestly least too was a very energetic and totally untrained 2 year old Dobi. I was at this session for 'aggression' and as soon as I entered the door, the phone rang. The IDIOT owner, handed the leash to her daughter as I was removing my boots. Romeo (such an appropriate name) tried to mount me and then got frustrated, he was much taller than me and I kept turning so he couldn't get a good grip...he nipped me between my shoulder blades, broke my skin but not badly.

I've been very lucky..though I usually don't allow for 'accidents'. For the number of years that I've been training dogs, only the last 2 very minor nips were work related.....*knocks on wood*

The only "real" bite I've had from a dog (besides puppy nips) was from a cocker spaniel I was working with a few years ago. It was on my hand and bled quite a bit, but I did not need stiches. I did two more sessions with him before finally coming to the realization that he had some sort of mental illness (of course I didn't tell the family that). They surrendered him to the shelter (without discussing it with me first), so I never got to the fourth session. Still feel guilty about failing him somehow....

The worst injury I've had *knock on wood!* was a broken finger that resulted from a dog fight, about 1 1/2 years ago. Incidently I was injured much worse than the dogs were. About two weeks ago I had another fight (1 1/2 years between fights, doing dog playgroups every day, I'd say that's not bad). Different dogs, but this time they sprained my thumb. Laugh it off, but let me tell you it HURT.

I'm really grateful that these are the worst injuries I've had!

Only minor, compared to the above postings!

I have a scar on the back of my right hand, wrist area. It is from when Lady attacked Maddie, and I got in between them, and had to literally rip her off of Maddie. That's when she let me have it, she grabbed my wrist and did not let go. I had to push her bottom jaw open with that wrist, and open her top with my other hand, then I pinned her to the ground and screamed at Maddie to "go in the house" . . . my heart is racing just thinking/typing about it  The scar isn't very big anymore, its about the length of a pinky nail (and a half maybe, lol) but my wrist still aches occasionally. But I would've done it again in a heart beat. I still don't know where the strength came from, though. That dog was a billion times stronger than I am. She busted through 2 doors to get outside where Maddie and I were.

I have also have a scratch on my right knee, from a pom just jumping up on me when I had shorts on. Weird, I know :p

I've been lucky ! Both last year .... I was showing Seger how Ollie just nibbled on rib bones but my finger got in the way ! The other was when I was helping neigbor's dying dog out to pee . Neither dog's fault . Not bad in 75 years !

Nothing anywhere near the sorts of any of you.

My dog has ripped my friends arm up really good. He had to get a lot of stiches and looks like Franken arm. He was watching the dogs while I was in the hospital. I specifically told him Spanky and Bandit cannot be fed anywhere near one another. He didn't listen. Landed up having to split up world war three.

Well... when I was 7 I got bitten on the face by a Dobi. I was petting him and when I tried to give him a hug he went for my face. Rude boy got me on the elbow one time. I was throwing a ball and he jumped and one of his teeth got me. It hurt really bad I had a small hole for about 4 day until it closed. And ofcurse I have a couple of scratches from working at the vets office holding the dogs.

I have a little scar on my upper (left side) lip where I was bitten by a little terrier. I also have a nasty scar on the arch of my right foot from jumping a ditch and having a broken beer bottle go through the side of my sneaker in an attempt to save a small pup from being attacked by a much larger, meaner dog.

That's it........not too bad for always being around dogs :D

I have also been bitten right through my palm by a wild cat I was attempting to save. He was tangled up in one of those old plastic 6 pack ring things..........I managed to get him free and as soon as he WAS free he bit me good!
(I would probably be sucker enough to do it again though, LOL)

I'm pretty fortunate. I've never been seriously injured by a dog. I've been "bitten" a couple times, but not seriously. Just one small puncture both times. The first time, I was pretty young and was petting a dog who didn't like kids, no matter how dog-friendly the kid was. The second time, I was giving a cookie to a Doberman when I was dober-sitting for my breeder a couple years ago, and she accidentally got my finger. She was 6 months old, only had basic show training at the time, and had no manners when it came to taking food yet.

Four years ago I was attacked by my old friend's Schanuzer in the face, and got a scar on my chin that was so deep it bled all down my shirt, and when I drank something it would leak out of the cut.

Three years ago my neighbor's Golden Retriever chased and bit into my face, leaving me a nice scar right down my forehead in between my eyebrows.

Two years ago my brindle pit bull, Buddy, ran through the middle of my legs, sent me flying up in the air, and down on my back so hard that I hit my tailbone and back, and I couldn't stand up for days...I still feel the pain in my tailbone to this day.

Six months ago I got brought down by a Boxer in a park while playing frisbee, and got a couple punctures and rips in my foot, leaving scars on my calves and knees.

Three months ago my foster American Staffordshire Terrier, Curvy decided to use my sock (while it was on my foot) as a toy, and tried to rip it off my foot, and shook it back and forth in her teeth, and I couldn't put any pressure on that foot for weeks.

Two months ago my finger got dislocated and broken by a Labrador who ran past me so quickly and caught my finger.
