I have gotten comments (and I admit, stressed a bit myself) about the fact that Gusto is not a roly poly chubby puppy. I rely on my agility friends to keep me in line when I stress about it - he is not skinny, he is just right.

Looks just right to me :)

Then again, mine looked like this at that age so um I may be biased :)

Ugh, I'm glad someone has their head on straight! My biggest pet peeve is people who think that labs should be fat...
Mine, too (along with the white Lab thing). I get a lot of comments from "John Q Public" about how tiny Caleb is, yet dog people (trainers, competitors, my vet, etc) are always telling me how nice it is to see a Lab who isn't over weight. Here's all 67 pounds of him at the beginning of the summer.

I'll have to get a new photo of Quinn - we've been pretty lazy the last few weeks but since I've been teaching her to walk on her back legs her thigh muscles have gone crazy.

Quinn is very lean and slender, even though she looks chubby in my sig! For reference, this was taken around the same time. She maintains a pretty steady weight/fitness - I can think of one time she got a little bit more chunky than I would have liked, but it was pretty easy to tone her back up!

She's actually starting to get some more visible muscle now that she's maturing a bit, I guess. She's always been quite fit but hasn't had a lot of bulk to her - like I said, she's very lean, has a very long stride and just lopes around everywhere (vs. Dally who is all about short sprints and tight turns and is a little brick shithouse!).
