Kickoff college night!

So tonight there where carnival games, bingo, and the fire department.

Carnival games I didn't go on, but I went for the free food, it was pretty good for hot dogs.

Later on was bingo with over $2k in prizes, I didn't want to go, but did since my room mate where going. ended up winning a 20' LCD widescreen TV, it was even the Samsung brand.

And later on the fire alarm in the dorm across the hall went off followed by the fire department coming in. Turns out the girls next door burned the crap out of some toast, they thought they could toast it right on the electric element of the stove and left it alone for 5 minutes on high. And i thought most girls could cook. But that was their 3d strike so now they are getting kicked out of the dorm room and get stuck with a $600 fine from the college because of breaking the contract early, and a $500 fine for the fire department showing up. And it's only the 5th day I have been here.

This should be a fun year.

We had some idiots that had fire crackers and were running around, finding a door that was unlocked (they could turn the knob slightly if locked or stop immediately if locked) and lighting one and throwing it in the dorm to scare the **** out of the occupants.

Well the second room (evidently the first one wasn't pissed off enough to beat the **** out of them [this was a male dorm btw] or couldn't find them after they ran off) was unlocked, and unoccupied. Since they were tossing and running, they weren't too concerned about where the fire cracker landed so when they tossed it it landed right in the guys waste paper basket which of course, started a fire.

This was all caught on camera or someone reported them or something and they were expelled. Made for one miserably cold night standing outside while the dorm was searched though.
