I was here for both conflicting stories. I've noticed a good bit of conflicting stories but this one really, really stood out for me.

I thought Jasper was from a breeder on puppyfind.com?

If Jasper's siblings died, why were they all listed online with him?
Whoa totally missed that!

Rory's previous owners were actually really good dog owners... he went through a couple of obedience classes before we 'adopted' him. The husband was allergic to Rory and just couldn't keep him.

And aw. That's so sad. I'd be so upset if I was allergic to Bandit. Bandit's previous owners are actually fantastic owners to their horses, other dogs, cats etc. They own a beautiful farm. The dad just was not fond of Bandit and I dont blame him. My dog was a dink when he was young. A mean spirited little guy. Which is why I loved him. Im mean spirited too.

edit to add, I usually don't care about any of this to any extreme but I really thought Gypsy was Ruby's sister. I am now thoroughly stumped. Did I reread something wrong?

How far along is she now Foxy?

and so things don't get too heated I am going to add a cute photo of a nekkid puppy because who can be angry when there are nekkid puppies around?

Foxy, I know you mean well and I know that you will be caring for your litter. But, please, don't go and buy a camera when a new cable will do. You never know what might go wrong with Ruby's pregnancy and you might need the money later down the road.

I don't mean to be negative- but personally, I do not know what to believe where your dogs came from. For me, it's kind of hard to take in an oops litter from someone I thought to be responsible enough to have two intact dogs. And I think you should give people with thoughts like mine the courtesy to express our concern or simple "pissed-off-ness" instead of demanding "squees" about "nekkid" puppies. That doesn't mean that I can't or won't wish you and the dogs best of luck or I'd like to see puppy pictures, it just really bites my butt that another oops litter has happened. It is so hard to advocate and keep an open mind to having intact dogs when people who know better and are responsible still are not able to prevent accidental litters (and this is not only directed at you, it's more of a general rant).

I'm just confused.

I agree with what's done is done and I do really want to see pics of crestie pups, but... there are just too many stories. I don't know what to believe at all. None of these new stories make much sense at all.

It also bugs me that I really feel if it had not been a long time member, they'd have been crucified.

I really tried to just avoid this thread but I just don't know what to think about all this.

Anyways, hoping for a nice, easy pregnancy and healthy pups either way.

I couldn't imagine being allergic to our dogs... I really, really hope our children won't end up being allergic... it's one of my biggest fears. I'm hoping that the early exposure to dogs will help... plus neither one of us are allergic to dogs... just cats =/

Aren't most border collies dinks? Haha. They're very good at getting on your nerves when they really want, especially as puppies!

I completely agree.

I just feel like we've been taken for a ride... what else is real, and what isn't?

Also, I thought you were broke? I'm really trying to figure out how/ when you took Jasper to be shown? I just would've expected to see some threads about his wins... I mean, I brag after Rory's herding lessons! If/when he competes, I will make multiple threads doting on his wins.

thats true. especially the part in bold, kinda hard to admit though

I thought both dogs were aquired from good breeders. and thats why they were health tested and stuff, and that she was planning to breed them, just later.
No im just confused.

but yea, again, whats done is done. Heres hoping for an easy pregnancy and healthy pups

My biggest fear too. Bandit will always have a home between my mom, my brother, my aunts or my landlord but he's such a lovely dog now. He's perfect to raise children with... except for his hair factor.

Oh they are. They grow up to be so lovely but those first few years some times make you wonder. They don't stay cute little pups for long but their devil stage sure seems to last.

oh dont worry ive got the money for this litter plus enough for emergencies set aside in my vet fund.
though i hope i dont have to use it for an emergency.

i have no problem with people expressing concern and questions in a respectable manner...
i do find it quite odd for someone to go back almost 3 years to provide proof that i screwed up back them by lying to a bunch of people ive never met to try and impress them.

i do understand about "opps" litters and quite frankly this one would have never happend if i hadnt had to go to a psycologist apontment...
my mother has taken responsibility and will be coviering half the cost of the litter because it was her fault.

i did find my cord so pictures will come eventually, its just been a very very long weekend.

paige, shes due may 29th.
and while those pics are adorable, cresties look a little like nekkid hamsters for the first 2weeks or so lol.

to clear up the ruby gypsy thing, "gypsy" didnt exist shes a frineds poodle mix...yes i was a screw up...ill admit that.
and as i already said, i know folks will say im a byb so making up storeis to prevent that now isnst exactly in my best interest.

now im actually heading out and may not have interwebs acess for a few days...so, have at, the other mods are now in control of keeping things calm around here :)

Just for the record, I don't often crucify anyone. I rarely am in these threads. It's the fact she is a long time member that I am here because I'm so confused. Regardless, I feel that these pups do have a person over looking them that will start them off right, so at the very least there is that comfort.

AHAHA AND YES! They do look like nekkid hamsters for a few weeks. I dont find any puppies cute till they hit about 4-5 weeks though. Same with human babies. I prefer them at the toddler stages in both personality and looks. I like them when they become terrors.

How convenient.

So why did you make multiple threads about rehoming Ruby?

I only looked back at past threads because I remember you specifically stating she came from a high kill shelter.

For instance... let's say that Sparks decided to breed her dogs (sorry Tanya!)... I know she adopted both of them from a shelter because I've been on this forum for years... but if she bred them I wouldn't be like "oooo cute hound puppehs!"

THEN if she told me that had all been a lie and they had secretly become champions and were really from good breeders, well, I'd be even more confused and would ask questions about it.

After knowing someone for so long and then knowing they lied, well, it doesn't sit right.

Maybe you could provide proof of the show wins or health tests or something? Not that you have to but I feel that that would substantiate some of your story. It's just really hard with about 5 different stories to understand what's going on and what's the truth.

You can usually find some record online. For example just googling Beau's show name pulls up the PCA news page showing him becoming a champion. Plus I have win pictures, etc.

I still don't understand why you'd make up Gypsy for example.

I totally agree. I think I agreed with a similar post of yours recently re the speutering issue.

And I agree with Laur -- I think it's rather odd the way this incident is being treated on Chaz by a number of long-standing members.

I honestly just hope that there is a good reserve fund and it's a healthy and uneventful pregnancy and delivery.

I agree Jules.

I knew Jasper wasn't from a planned litter, but I thought he was from a breeder who did breed champions and then went through a divorce(read the rest of new Ruby story). So, There's nothing really wrong with Jasper other than the litter not really being expected.

I just sort of assumed Ruby was purchased from a breeder, as she was already here when I came here.... so I knew nothing of her story.

The whole situation is sad. I hate the feeling of learning that someone I really liked had been lying... and more so when it has to do with bringing future pups into the world.

I know you care about your dogs, and I know you'll take care of the pups, and I wish you a smooth easy whelp. But... this is just a sad situation.

While I definitely understand the confusion and concern, I feel like something that is being considerably overlooked is that, this breeding was supposedly an accident. I understand that it's likely because her story is confusing, but there is a lot more flack in this thread than in other threads resident to Chaz featuring 'Oops Litters' and long term members. Just food for thought.

maybe she purchased both dogs from less than perfect breeders and was afraid to say so because of chaz's stance on finding good breeders?
I don't know at all, but I could see that happening.

Gypsy was a Crestie or else these people were seeing a non-existent Crestie:
