Sizzle and I went to Ledges State Park today, and took the silly boys with us.
The photos below are Jayne's instructional guide to crossing raging rivers while remaining cute. And keeping your feet as dry as possible.
First "Raging River" Ever. Keep your butt low and put off going anywhere near the water for as long as you can. Play sad dog.
At your mom's insistence, muster up the courage and go for it. I recommend staying on the rocks. Keep your elbows high and back legs tucked. Keep your head down for optimal balance control.
Find a nice big rock and act like the crossing was no big deal. Take a short break, pretending to look disinterested, but really look for the next biggish rock to jump to. Make sure you don't under-jump it.
Wowza! That was a doozy. Ok last rock. One last lingering break, but really sizing up how far we have to go to get to solid ground again.
**The saga continues**
